What Are You Currently Playing And How Is It?

Not much has come out recently, so I decided that I try out some games that I might have overlooked. I decided to rent Far Cry 2 and here is a quick rundown of what I think about it:

+Graphically Impressive
+A hefty single player experience
+Fire!
+RPG/FPS system
+Immersive effects (malaria, guns jamming)
-Lackluster story
-50 square km of African landscape grows tiresome
-Travelling becomes tedious
-Repetitive missions
-Annoying guard post stations

Overall: 7.0

Like most Ubisoft titles as of late, it seems so promising, but never reaches it's full potential.

i agree. it looks beautiful, plays nicely but its so bland and boring. im putting off finishing my playthrough. the only reason im going to is because i want to finish getting the second half of the achievements from the single player. as for me, im playing through undertow, getting the achievements. i only got it because it WAS free, no longer free. i wouldnt recommend buying it. its ok for free but not super. after this (which ill have the last ach. tonight), im going to go back to either resident evil 5, bioshock, or maybe far cry 2.

I am currently playing NCAA 10 (Dynasty). It is pretty sweet (to me, i'm a big football fan) and I am also playing Prototype (just started it) It is pretty good too. Still playing FO3 too, just downloaded Point Lookout ( i love it)

Right now, I'm in a fighter/shooter mode. I'm playing:

Soul Calibur 4

Call Of Duty 4

Street Fighter 4

Virtua Fighter....5 xD

Gears Of War 2

But, since I'm nostalgic, I'm also playing:

Soul Blade (PSX)

Tekken 3 (PSX)

Rival Schools (PSX)

I am enjoying all of them, quite happily. :)

Dead Space on the 360, which so far has been amazing. Best horror game I've played, & I have played a few. Controls are awesome & remind me of of RE4, setting is probably the best of any horror game I've played in terms of what creeps me out (Many people probably prefer other settings) & the sound & way its used (timing for example) is probably the best of any game, period.

Anno 1404 for the PC. Better in every way over Anno 1707. Great game to kill time. I spent something like 7 hours on it the first time I played it. Its even more impressive as it looks so good, even though I can only run it on medium settings.

i'm currently playing tales of vesperia. its ok but the achievements are a pain to get

battlefield 1943

This whole Summer has been one of the best for gaming in awhile considering what's coming out(then again, I not just thinking about the 360 alone). I've still been playing NHL 09 so I can prep my defensive game in the EA Sports Hockey League in next season's game with NHL 10. Other then that I've been enjoying the Summer Live Arcade games. :D

Dead Space and enjoying every minute of it.

I've been playing America's Army. Awesome game. Great community.

As for 360, been going through Battlefield: Bad Company's campaign(Itll take me a while, since I've got America's Army, Team Fortress 2, and I'll be getting Battlefield 1942 soon(maybe)

Im playing Battelfield Bad Company. Which is probably the most overlooked game on the 360... Its my favorite game on the 360 right now, and IMO the best...

And whats with Battlefield 1943 being so hyped up, but not Bad Company. Not complaining, thousands play Bad Company, just seems like, come on.

Bioshock.... this game is amazing! Its so good and it actually has a intense gripping story.

WaW multiplayer, Nazi Zombie co-op is a blast

on my ps3 i am playing oblivion (again) BF1943, Fat Princess, BlazBlue

honestly i've been playing alot of AC:FA.and love it despite some flaws in it.but then again i like giant robots so my opinion is biased,though i do think the zoids games are garbage.

not really anything im still waiting for Assassin's creed 2 but I play Halo 3 sometimes online haha or I play MLB 2K9 (not a 2K fan I'm just a baseball fan)

I'm probably the last person on earth to do so, but I got The Orange Box a few days ago and have been slowly making my way through campaign and Portal. Early signs are very positive. The gameplay definitely feels a little old-school, with a health meter (wwwhaa?) and no cover aspect in single-player, but I'm really getting into the story and the environments are lovingly crafted. Graphics are also a little bit dated, however.

Portal is amazing, I'm beginning to understand all the hype about it. I've finished 17 of 19 stages, though, so I'm going to save the last for later. I don't want my Portal experience to end!

Tentatively it's a 9.5 out of 10. Considering it's a full game of 12 hours, two 4-6 hour mini-sequels, a great puzzle mini-game, AND a unique multiplayer component, it's probably the best game you can buy for $20.

Im still playing COD4 AND Gears 1 and im still one of the best out there 8) trying to go pro

I'm currently playing Dark Sector, it's alright but sometimes it seems to be boring.

Mirror's Edge.

Pretty fun even if there is a lot of trial and error. I'm liking it. Has a cool style.

Ninja Gaiden Black:bought it of marketplace. Awesome game but very hard 9/10 so far :)

Fable 2: Renting it , ok game 7/10 so far :)

GEars of War 2, Arkham Asylum Demo (LoL), Call of Duty 4, and Sacred 2 Fallen Angel. All of these games in my opinion are extremely entertaining. Sacred 2 has a vast world to explore with hundreds of quests to complete, character customization, and Unique sets and mounts. Call of Duty 4 has awesome graphics and Appealing online play (Rank System FTW?), and Gears of War 2 also has awesome graphics, Story's fun to play through and the online is entertaining for the most part (Lagg Switchers..). Those are all the games I'm playing as of now. Hopefully I'll be playing Arkham aSylum and Wolfenstein soon too.

Halo 3 and its amazing

Lost Oddyssey, im on disc 4 , its actually one of the better JRPGs ive played on xbox. The story is amazingly detailed, its great looking as well. The only problem im having is with the tedious training im doing for my characters to level up. But thats self-inflicted

playing 'Prey' at the moment.. I also rented 'Far Cry 2' a few weeks ago, 25 hours in, andI just lost interest.

Red Faction: Guerrilla - amazing game, really fun.

Tales of Vesperia - Best RPG around.

Good assessment of FC2, its fun, but gets boring. But it has the BEST map editor, Ever

I'm currently doing the side missions of Fallout 3.

and most likely starting Tales of Vesperia soon.

playing Bigs2...its super sick but i am stuck at the last cooperstown legends deal where i cant let a run score. i beat the rest on hard and did most cooperstown on med/hard but i refuse to go to easy...its so diffficult. my main gripe about the game is the online, its so laggy that i cant pitch, my record is 2-2 online but thats only because the lag sucks for everyone!

spider man 3 and watchmen part 1 for the achievements and i would give spider 3 a 5.0 and watchmen a 7.0
