What do you guys think of Army of Two?

My brother wants to play more co-op games and the only one we really haven't tried is Army of Two. I'm hearing and reading reviews and what I get is that the game is a good co-op game but a shallow single player one.

When I buy games, I still want a good single player experience with the co-op. I like the luxury of having the option to play by myself or with a friend/brother whenever I want to.

So I guess my question is, is Army of Two a pretty good shooting game? I know it's like Gears of War and maybe even Resident Evil 5...so is it worth it? Since it's cheap now around $20, I'm thinking about getting it for me and my bro so we can play.

Any impressions or opinions wouild be great, thanks.

Co-op, via Live og local is pretty cool. Singleplayer is not recommended since your partner is pretty dumb, and therefor makes it quite dull.

single player is really boring, play it on co-op to really enjoy it. Overall it's a very good game to play

I was pretty surprised by the game. Not great I mind you, but it was a decent couple of hours.

army of 2 is fun but its short. try rainbow 6 vegas 2 and kane and lynch

Get it. It is REALLY fun. Me and my bro have played through it a lot.

The many flaws of Army of Two

it was a lot of fun while it lasted, the AI really pissed me off sometimes though.

It is a lot of fun co-op with friends. I actually played it for about an hour with my friend the other day after not playing for months. Made me want to get the 2nd one.

I played it when it first came out both by myself and with my old roommate. While it's more fun co-op, I still rather enjoyed playing through it in single player.

I don't get why it gets so many bad reviews, really. It's not a game-of-the-year candidate - as you'd have guessed by now - but it's under-rated and under-appreciated nonetheless... I have a twin bro, so we have a similar situation...

It's the best at what it does, and thats what it says on the tin: Army of TWO.

The characters are great as well, Salem and Rios' relationship is love-hate (just like you and your bro, most probably!) It brings you that much closer to the story and characters when you can almost imagine yourself and a sibling in the shoes of these two bad-ass companions helping one another out and simply killing the enemy with rediculously melo-dramatic gold-plated weapons!

- mini-review terminated: I think you should get this game, or wait for the sequel which promises to build on some of the problems in this great two-player game. :)

Much like everyone else I had a blast playing coop with a friend, it's just not as much fun single player. Kane and Lynch is a lot like that to, more fun coop than single player. This is basically because of poor partner AI. A couple of good single player and coop games are the Rainbow Six Vegas games, Resident Evil 5, and the GRAW games. Just a few suggestions, give them a shot if you want.
