what do you think of this market of games ?...check the hot games in japan right now, and the hot games here in the west.

games in japan are pretty weird. Many of them appeal to us here and in europe, but most of the games we play here dont appeal to them. I believe with this notion that the 360 should concentrate more on the european, american (which they rule), south american and austrialia market. After all they play almost the same games we play here...for the most part.

Japanese games can be a bit odd. They think the same thing about our games though, our differingcultures, entertainment styles and history definitely form a barrier between what is enjoyable and what is weird.

Some JRPG's have been pretty successful in the States and abroad. Final fantasy, in particular. Having said all that, I like the fact that the Xbox 360 is expanding it's game library. The Xbox 360 will always have plenty of the games we like, so it doesen't hurt to have Japanese games to choose from! Besides, many of the JRPG's that have arrived on the system are fairly decent.

More choices = More gamers

More gamers = More developer support and money

More developer support and money= More Games

More games = More fun

Thats how I sum it up anyway, feel free to disagree with me and tell me how stupid I really am! :P

Both Japanese games and Western games appeal to me. I love JRPGs, but I also like World of Warcraft. I love playing Gears of War and many Half-Life mods, but I also love Mario games and such. The style of the games from each region are very different, but that is what makes it so much fun.

It depends, I guess. I don't get into the "whole, who from where publishes what" side of video games, but I do know that I don't like games that resemble anime in any way shape or form. Plus, I couldn't stand playing MGS b/c of Snake's mullett. It's fine for a Poison concert, but how many commandos have you actually seen sporting one?

At first when I was still in grade school, I thought that I only liked Japanese games. Then I remembered that I play DOOM II :P
