Everything that c0mplex said including shotgun with realistic range, meaning you can affect someone when they're about 50 feet away from you, or atleast not have you in the red on one hit from that far. Also, when your standing right in back of a sniper and shoot him in the head, but he doesnt die...they need to fix that.(i've never had that problem cuz i chainsaw...the safest way but i have seen people who have had that problem)
Also, a stronger pistol.
Better maps..Gridlock is too open for me, i want something a little close combat, but not too close so i can still snipe.
new guns as cool as the lance was at first. Also a story just as good or better (i liked the story in gears than in most other FPSgames)RocklandUSA
FPS? This is a 3rd person shooter......
Most of which I wanted changed or adjusted has already been mentioned. I just hope that they listen to the feed back and make a game that is better than the first. That's what sequels to games are supposed to do right? Not just make a few changes and call it a sequel. I hate when that happens, those games are considered expansion packs but you still pay the full $60 for it.
more variety in gameplay (it got repetative)
better vehicle sequences

bigger online matches (# of players & size of map)

Theres always gonna be glitches, so you might as well stop while you can.
4-person co-op
Bigger war-like setpiece battles.
Brumaks and RAAMs as subboss-type enemies like bersekers.
Berserkers should be able to be part of normal action - think if you had to worry about one while blasting other enemies
8v8 maps
CTF-type game mode
No glitches (hah)
- KEEP 4v4 or at most bump it up to 5 but seriously, no more.. its about tight squadbased action not lemming rushes :(
- Keep the lack of mid-match respawns in majority of gameplay modes (its not about lemming rushes!)
- More dialogue, there was confusion over the story in this one because scenes near the end of the 4/th+5th act were cut
- Better and more driving sequences.
- Achievements not bound to ranked play would be great to appease the majority of players (even though I like ranked play :()
- Make shotgun sprays tighter but at the same time significantly weaker (headshots should still kill though ;) )
- 4 Player co-op would be awesome
- more cole train
- more story covered through the extent of the SP campaign (ie less questions to remain at the end even if a third game is planned)
- a move up to 6v6.
- some more imaginative guns.
- no vehicles
- add devices in the game to make the gameplay deeper (trip mines, radar, etc).
- morale meter that was suppose to be in the first game, but add it to MP.
- more asymmetric maps.
- capture the flag mode.
- client-side hit detection (no host advantage).
- NO starting with shotguns. make it a gun that you have to pick up.
- have team remade after every game based on skill to keep things even.
- no invincibility during a curb-stomp or chainsaw.
- more emphasis on vertical gameplay.
- be able to vote people out of the game.
- not getting stunned after a melee... so that melee doesn't mean automatic death.
- power up lancer and hammerburst damage from far range.

Alooooong co op campaign and more characters to play as. Not to pressed about the multiplayer. I just love the co op ability of the games these days over !live. Back in the day, you had to do your co op games on 1 tv split screen. ;)

You pretty much changed every aspect of Gears' core gameplay. Which is; close range combat. So, if you really want these things done in the next game, I think it's safer to say you just don't like the gameplay of Gears.
