What does gears multiplayer bring to the table?!

I have played every gears. Honestly i can say i have played this game to the point were i just cant try to like it anymore. Im already level 34 online so i have been playing for awhile. Here is my opinion in why this game doesnt bring anything new to the franchise. The new weapons suck horribly ,i mean there all so lame, i dont care what you say,there not creative at all ( except the digger ) all the other weapons are just plain and dull. The maps are absolutely terrible , i mean the only good map is gridlock, witch i dont even like it because ive been playing it since gears of war 1 , i mean the only thing they added to that map was night time,really epic!?!!! ALL of the maps are absolute trash,linear and just plain boring looking. How about a map with snow, another with rain and thunder, but no,all we get is a night time map. Maybe the series is just old and it is not what it used to be , or maybe im just getting older and growing out of games, but in all honesty i still have fun playing halo reach, but everytime i turn on gears its just plain annoying. I mean PLEASE tell me whats the point of having Un-ranked matches if its going to count towards your stats and level?!?!!?? WHY ON EARTH is it called un-ranked!! Also whats up with that robot bull$hit ,i much rather have no team than have some douche robot running around ruining my chances of winning. Honestly if your one of those uber homos who says "oh you must own a xbox , because it has gears" then i absolutely hate you. The game has no new graphics, i mean it looks identical to gears 2. And the ranking system is a dam joke, its not even rewarding in anyway , oh wait u get WEAPON SKINS WOOOHOOOOO , oh wait u dont really need any skill to have a cool weapon skin because you can just give your parents money to epic. I absolutely love that epic game is going to charge all of you gears of war fanboys an additional thirty dollars:lol: if theyacctualy loved there fans they wouldnt do that.But theyjust love your MONEY!!!Im returning this game ASAP ,i dont even care if i get $40 ,its just absolute trash and im done trying to give it a shot. Only thing good about the game is 4 player Co-op ..too bad the story line of gears always has sucked. And if you think im some sort of fanboy then go right ahead and say it, I PLAYED THE GAME,THIS IS THE TRUTH!

yeah it sounds like you never liked gears to begin with so IDk why you though a 3rd one would be any different. A sequel usually doesn't mean whole new game but refinement of a previous game and gears 3 does the almost perfectly. Yeah there are some flaws imo like the Sawed off and rifle strength but it is the best out of the 3. I do agree with you on the point of maps not being of the highest quality but that's only because they are saving the best for dlc which is something that all games are starting to do unfortunately. They are really just riding the wave the COD started and everyone else will follow too. I really have to disagree with that graphics statement though as mentioned Gears 3 easily raises the bar above gears 2 in every way. Its more impressive than 2 on a technical and artistic level and is just much more colorful overall.

With the exception of Checkout, this is the best group of maps from any GOW game. And downloading maps is not different for any other online multiplayer game(Halo, BC2, COD:BO, etc.). That's just the way of things and people won't stop paying for them.

You're not a fanboy you are a troll. Most of these points are wrong, such as the graphics not being better at all. I dont believe you have played any of the game if you are saying that. You made it up for effect. These maps are pretty good. Sandbar has beautiful scenery with waterfalls and all the shrubbery and trees. Overpass looks great as well. Water flowing through the streets and surrounding the map is the destroyed world. Its so detailed and chunks of the highway fall off during play. The guns are all well balanced in their OWN situations. Exception is the sawed off which sometimes had magic bullet range to kill from pretty far, beyond gnasher effective range, in ONE shot(I have many examples). For the most part they are even though. Hammerburst is long range, lancer medium long, and retro is medium short. Gnasher is short medium shotgunning while the sawed off is short only. Not to mention how power weapons or grenades can completely turn the tides of a battle. Every life is a battle in this game. Its not like CoD where you run out after spawn and pick off 3 guys from 100 yards with less than 10 bullets. You have to win each and every battle and fight for the victories. Teamwork is the most important aspect of Gears, anyone who thinks differently is wrong. Even the best player cant handle flanking lancer with shotgun pressure from the front.

OKAY DLC MAPS ARE IN EVERY GAME NOW, BUT NAME ME ONE GAME THAT THEY CHARGE $30 FOR IT??? Also im no troll, f you kid. I wouldnt waste timewriting this,im busy with school.The waterfall looks like complete trash and OHHH WOWW CHUNKS OF HIGHWAY OMGZZZ !! they had chunks of highway in halo 2!Im stating facts,the graphics are not enhanced in a way in any shape or form , probably just 5% better than gears 2. And ill honestly say the same thing about halo 3 and halo reach. Honestly why the hell is there a hammer burst at spawn, it clearly is much stronger than the other assult rifles. Why couldnt they put the sawed off shotgun,hammer burst and retro lancer in the map? I find it incredibly stupid they gave the option to spawn with such good weapons. Also everyone mentiones beast mode and horde, okay there great, but how about the GAME modes! How many game modes did halo reach bring to the table as opposed to halo 3? Gears brought team deathmatch,and honestly i thought it would be like witchever team gets a certain amount of kills they win, team deathmatch shouldnt have to end after the team runs out of lives, that should have been another game mode. Also why does EVERYONE say what can they do to a sequal? I mean they have millions of dollars to spend,and a huge team of creative people.Your gonna tell me they cant come up in 2 years with some cool vehicles, better story line, and better statistics? And whats with such small teams,i mean 5 vs 5 is plain boring and SLOW. And the maps are just plain garbage, anyone who defends the maps is absolutely insane,all the maps were awful! The least they could have done was asked the fans if they wanted to bring some of the old maps, i mean just gridlock? How about a retro hotel like from Gears 1 ,that map was epic!

It sounds like you want the MP to be more like COD, but that's just isn't what Gears is. You want customizable characters, weapons, etc.? So, you want all of the options given to you in Black Ops? Or even those they tried to give the player in Brink? That's just not what Gears is, and I like unlocking all of the ACTUAL game characters to play as. If anything, the game is more like Reach than you're claiming, especially since you start with basic weapons and grab new/better weapons from the ground.

And Gears brings A LOT to the table. Beast Mode is awesome. I think it's a blast. It doesn't have a lot of replayability, because it only goes 12 rounds. I wish it was longer, like Horde. Speaking of Horde, Horde 2.0 is amazing. I love the combination of old Horde mode and a new defense aspect. Arcade mode is a blast, and 4 player co-op is amazing. I don't know what you were expecting from Epic and Gears 3, but I was pretty impressed with a lot of the stuff that they did. If you're as big of a Gears fan as you claim to be, I think you'd be as excited as most of the others Gears fans are.

Lastly, the Seriously achievement isn't that impressive. It's not like it's hard, it's just time consuming. I don't have it, only because there are other things I'd rather be doing.

Customizing characters wouldnt be a bad add on,and if they had it im sure NONE would complain, on the contrary people would enjoy it. I already said what should have been done, if you people want to keep repeating the same mumbo jumbo then ok, its obvious you ALL can see what i mean,because alot of what ive said has been ignored. Like vehicles, better ranking, better weapons , more than 5 vs 5 , bigger and more maps, also bringing back old maps from previous gears.Oh yea and i would have added more finishing moves,that doesnt take very long to make,they should have made a whole bunch, if this is supposed to be the final bang to the gears series ( of course its not ) then it should have brought more to the table. MAYBE those who are defending the game are brand new to gears, and i can understand that, its a great game if you never played it before. You're clearly just trolling and ranting now. You mentioned Horde and Beast mode in one sentence in your 3rd or 4th post calling them "Great," and you never even talk about arcade mode. It's really easy to poke holes in one specific type of gameplay but not recognize the entire game as a whole. AS A WHOLE, Gears 3 brings a lot to the table. Most of your arguments are just knit picky details that wouldn't bring nearly as much to the game as you claim. And if Halo 2 was the height of gaming for you then congratz, I'm glad you like it so much. I'm by no means a fan boy, but you're CLEARLY a Halo fanboy since the only other games you mention in comparison to Gears are the Halo Franchise. Sorry you messed up and purchased the Limited Edition when most of us bought the regular edition. $60 well worth it.

Im currently level 39 (all from unranked + ranked matches), gotta say its nice to not experience similar lag from GoW2 (at launch anyhow) but the overall experience hasnt changed much. Its enjoyable but not revolutionary, definitely catered to hardcore fanbase...just made the experience that much tighter imo. Ive only played little Horde mode, and although fun i couldnt play it more than a few times.

Thats what im saying,its nothing revolutionary at all . Yea the lag problem is fixed,witch is great..in a few months the crap will hit the fan and people will find glitches to ruin the game ( like in every gears ) and in reality im not trying to bash the game, just me pointing out what should have been added to the game , coming from a big gears fan. All of you saying im trolling or mad, well im not ,just dissapointed to see the final game come out so mundane. I swear i got bored playing multiplayer in less than 1 hour. And i still dont understand why the Un-ranked matches still count toward your kills and death, whats the point of it being un-ranked in the first place. Many things in this game didnt make sence to me, a BIG one being how soon it came out, they should have waited ATLEAST one more year to really put in all they have to offer for the Final game.
