I'm the exact opposite. I only enjoy games when I can cheat. I use the Codebreaker everytime I play a PS2 game.Games are so hard for me that Ihave never been able to finish onewithout cheating. I never play online, so no one can use that argument against me.
I remember reading somewhere thatconsole developers were getting away from cheat codes because it hurted the sales of their games. Cheat codes killed the game's longevity. They felt that most players would end up being tradedthe game in at a game store. As a result, they would end up losing sales to the secondary market. They would rather have you pay for the game at full price instead ofused.
sereously, i can only think of one or two games that have come out for the 360 that have actual codes... and i don't care about your stupid "cheat codes" that are only hints, tips, secrets, and lists of achievments! I WANT CHEAT CODES!DaFoO65
we grew up and found out it was better to play the games our self instead of running around during god mode
I just hope theres cheat codes for GTA4. I think the thing that made gta games so much fun was the cheat codes! I used to always beat a game without colds and use the colds after its over for replay value. I wish they would add more cheats into todays games aswell. But like Jimmy said. You now have to pay for cheats in the market place -_-

A B A C A B B.... that is like religious text.... back from the good old days..  codes are useful in some games.... that are hard as sin or simply to unlock a feature such as the aformentioned code... games now are, for the most part, easy enough to do without. there are some exceptions...

Not everyone uses cheats to beat a game, like me I use them to add some more fun to a game that otherwise I would have gotten bored of.
yeah honestly the death of the cheat code is a sad and slow one. i like that crackdown added in keys to the city mode, which cheat codes will probably end up being more like, and i actually prefer that to regular codes. if gta iv has no cheat codes, i will be much more hesitant to buy. BRING BACK THE CHEAT CODE! HUZZAH!:P
and yeah btw when i say cheat codes should come back, i mean like fun ones to fool around with if a game gets boring, not like ones to help you beat a game

k some games have cheat codes, but on the 360 if you put in one cheat code, you can't recieve any more acheivement points.. if you don't like achievement points then go for the cheat , if you do like the acheievement points then don't go for it. besides y do you want cheat codes anyway? you are wasting your money, and taking the fun out of the game.
