No games have really changed my life, not even in a gaming fashion. Although all new games now don't have that old 'WOW' factor that i had when playing the systems like N64, PS2. (Goldeneye, Mario64) (GTA3)

Same , no games have really 'Changed my life' , although Ocarina Of Time has really set the benchmark for me now when playing a game , and although not many games can come close imo , i still see it as the top game in that genre , or any genre for that matter :)

I don't really think that a single game had changed my life or anything, but I can certainly say that the game Jedi Academy was what brought me into online gaming which I'm really into nowdays.

I agree. Games are escapism, and can never be as deep as a book.

You can get caught up in a game - stay up too late or play it too much, but it's not like you take much into your real life, other then less time.

Nothing really for the Xbox 360 (yet). But I remember playing the first Ninja Gaiden, it made me realize that I'm not the master of all games and everything takes a little practice. That and the first Halo (of course) only cause it was the reason I got an Xbox.

A game that changed my life have to be the original Mario for the NES, its what got me into gaming and I haven't stopped yet. Other then that id have to say Suikoden 2 for getting me into JRPGs and Call of Duty 2 for getting me into online FPS.

Vice City and Halo 2 changed my attitude towards what a game could be like. I actually took time off from work to play Vice City & spent a week playing it straight. I've spent years playing Halo 2 multi-player. I'm kind of surprised they didn't produce a map subscription for Halo 2 as I believe they could've made a few million with each new map pack release. On the PC it was Fallout, Planescape:Torment, and Doom/Quake/Duke Nukem.

The Super Mario games on the NES turned me into a gamer, Civilization turned me into a PC gamer, and Doom/Half Life turned me into a FPS gamer.

The XBOX had the best combination and FPS and sports games so I was turned from a PC gamer back into a console gamer. I still haven't gone back to being a PC gamer.

The original Super Mario Bros. because it was the first game I ever owned and it was the game that made me become a gamer. Also, probably Halo 2 because it made it impossible for me to really enjoy games that aren't online.

Super Mario Bros 3, Ice Climbers, Excite Bike, The Legend Of Zelda, Contra 3, Island (NES), Contra 3, Blackthorn, Chrono Trigger, FF4, FF6 and the last one Chrono Trigger.

If I had to choose from one on theses games then I would say Chrono Trigger as changed my life. What a good game and the story is so good... Oh shi- now I want to play it.

Hmm, i wouldn't say any game has ever changed my life but inspired me to think and see things in a different way. MGS 2, that gave me a new insite into the US government and such. Silent Hill really changed what I expect from horror games in general, I began expecting true fear instead of pop shock horror. Overall I'd say half life was the biggest inspiration though, it showed me what a truly well thought through FPS could be like. Past that, Final Fantasy 7. I bought my playstation just for that game.

Oh wait, Everquest. The original, I almost failed 8th grade because of my freakish addiction to that game and i had a friend that dropped out of high school just so he could stay home and play all day. That game changed my life, had a profound impact on my social life. The next year I started home school and gave up public school just so i could stay home and play. My friend that dropped out moved up state and I never heard from him again and so for the next year and a half all i did was play EQ.

I wouldn't say these changed my life but they are what I compare a lot of games too:

Console: Zelda Ocarina of Time

Computer: Age of Empires II plus expansion.

Zelda was so revolutionary and just an incredibly fun experience and Age of Empires is just a great strategy game!

Final Fantasy 7 changed my gaming life forever. i was just stumbling across games back then playing them at random much like i stumbled across ff7. Acutally when i first played it i didnt get past the first fight scene and put it away for months lol which is stupid of me looking back. then one summer i picked it up and decided to pass it over the summer. After that my game playing was more focused on RPG and strategy games.

hmmm.... i dont know if a game has "changed my life" but i've played a large variety of games over the years. and GTA III and San Andreas really got me hooked the most. I feel I am more "IN" the game when i play GTA SA and I tend to just mess around with gambling, flying, skydiving, and driving around. It's like multiple games in 1. but it hasnt changed my life really. I find games as just a way to escape reality and relax.

books may be deeper, but they are NOT interactive. your imagination may vary, but the words are printed in ink and do not change.

Games can be deep!!! Play Half-Life... I think I'm obsessed with the Orange Box. That game had a storyline that creamed all three Halos combined. I'm now actually considering going into videogame programming because I think I could contribute to great games like that... yeah, I'm probably obsessed... I just finished so give me a week to calm down. But I'm serious about programming.
