Just what the topic says. Any reason, single player campaign or multiplayer, whatever ever upset / let you down.

My award goes to ASS-ASSins Creed. Clunky Controls, repetitive game play, unrealistic game-play, bad story(Sci Fi crap) and it has the WORST first 2 hours of any game or AAA title ever!!!

And I am going to have to put Fallout 3 and Fable 2 on my list as well. i hated going through the same subway system over and over and over again in the city. Disliked VATS ( Camera, and easiness of fights) Wasn't an open world due to the subways. Fable 2 just let me down in really every way.

I guess you didn't get to the part where you had to pose as a homosexual on an internet dating site, find a guy on that site, get him to meet you for lunch, and then kill him did you? I don't recall that being in any other GTA.

Bah, you people can't appreciate a good game when you see one. You bought it because it was GTA. A game all about driving a killing people and when you get that you complain. That's like being mad at StarCraft for being an RTS.

dead rising i read and heard that it was amazing. i was highly disapointed because of clunky controlls, not that great of a main char and your timed on everything u do.

theres a reason its rating is 10/10 (even tho that is a slight overstatement) but im with you there on looking past its flaws, i dont even remember any significant flaws that stood out i just remember loving every minute of playing it, i don't see how anyone can hate on the storyline its pretty compelling. even tho i expect alot from series' like this one I found myself satisfied and the multiplayer is decent too.. in short that game is an instant classic and lived up to its name.

as for the games that disappointed me the most I'd say: Fable 2 (repetitive and dull combat system, not as much content as was promised etc.) Saints Row 2 (gta4 ripoff, hardly any originality, it's strengths were it's multiplayer and co-op gameplay but that's about it...) and well, i dunno, i guess Last Remnant because you couldnt backtrack at points in the game but overall that was agood jrpg in my opinion, i just never finished it cause i couldnt start some missions cause i was too far in the game...

Gears 2 really disapointed me. The original is just so damn good, but something about the sequel didn't click with me. I hate the campaign, I hate the story, I hate the multiplayer. The real saving grace it has is Horde, but I only play that with my friend on occasion since he loves Gears 2 and I don't.

It isn't a bad game, it's good and all, it's still fun, but it wasn't anywhere NEAR as good as the first Gears of War. Something, somewhere in there, just didn't click for me.

Dead Rising- clunky controls, your timed on every mission it seemed like, and the stupid save system. I hadn't really heard anything but praise for the game, so needless to say i was severely disappointed:(

Street Fighter 4- when i saw gameplay of this game i couldn't wait for it to come out, but this game is so ******* hard that it almost isn't fun at times and that makes me very sad because i wanted to like this game so much.I play iy every now and again but i still don't like it as much as i wanna:(

I would have to say Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner. It was a great game in and of itself, but it wasn't what it could have been. Armored Core can only do so much for me. Z.O.E. has so much potential... plz sir can I have some more?

Totally agree, the game was such a BIG let down. I loved the first gears and still play it a fair bit but I have no desire to ever play number 2 ever again. Its not a terrible game I agree but its the fact that they have taken a game which should of been great and made it only pretty good just makes me hate it even more.

GTA IV, Gears of War and Burnout Paradise. Mostly GTA IV though, I was expecting it to live up to the same fun I got out of San Andreas and Vice City. Those horrible driving controls didn't help matters. Gears of War, I had low expectations of and it still managed to completely underwhelm me. Burnout Paradise wasn't too disappointing, I just dislike the open world racing.

It's funny you mention that you loved GTA4 and were disappointed by Saints Row 2. For me it was just the opposite: from all the reviews and expectations from the previous games, GTA4 just wasn't that fun to me. On the other hand, Saints Row 2 was much more enjoyable, plus it actually lasted me longer.

But my most disappointing games by far are Mercs 2 and FEAR 2. They killed everything good about their predecessors, which are two of my favorite games.

i agree. i love the old ones but the new ones just suck. gta4 has too many cops and the driving sucks, it looks great but you can't enjoy the game. resident evil sucked since the made the version for the gamecube. wheres the zombies? now people are like some alien creatures, bull. these games broke my heart.

Holy crap i forgot about GTA IV and dead risinng. Mainly GTA IV though. i forget that i own that game, thats how much it dissapointed me. i will look through my games and go "O Ya i have GTA IV" then i just go by it. i tried playing it a bit ago and i could only play for 5 minutes. i won't even play RE 5. I LOVED RE4 but i just can't get myself to play it.

O and I don't only pose this question to games you own. Games you rented, borrowed, got as gifts, dosen't matter just if anything has dissapointed you.

Fable 2 was a little bit of a let down for me. Fable 2 is still a great game, but I'm mostly refering to the multiplayer; it was a huge bust. The multiplayer could have made this game shine brighter than it already is. Fable is a game that CAN be truly epic. It's still a great game, but there are still ways to make it better than it already is. I suppose that's something to look forward to in Fable 3 though :)

I'll be unoriginal and give a nod to GTA IV. It is the quintessential letdown. So, in a list, here's everything they did wrong.

-Story was typical. An immigrant tale with obvious sympathy. A rags to slightly better rags evolution we've seen or heard about countless times, what's original or compelling about that? It was a serviceable narrative. It is more or less a glorified revenge story. Thumbs down.

-Politics. Leave Politics out of my games. I don't want rich men, I'm looking at you Sam and Dan, telling me what to think. GTA IV is interactive propaganda. It sickens me. (Yes, I'm aware the others had political commentary but it wasn't thrown in your face---not only that but the time was particularly vulnerable. I personally find it appalling that Rockstar's CEOs funded Obama. Odd too---Clinton and Lieberman are liberals who HATE games and have a lot more power than dear ole Jack.)

-They took the sand out of the sand-box. The Gas out of the engine. Liberty City, was, in every sense of the word, beautiful. It was the most interesting character, no doubt. But there wasn't anything meaningful to do there. Who wants to take fake friends out bowling when we don't want to take real friends bowling? We could play darts? Seriously, who plays darts? why? We could shoot pigeons---admittedly though, I had fun with this.

-The controls both on foot and in vehicle. In my 16+ years of gaming I've never had a hard time controlling a character and I've played A LOT of games, good, bad, and ugly. Niko controls with the same grace sober as he does in the drunken mini-game. He can scarcely walk a straight line. THAT and why should we have to hold A to move at a reasonable pace?

-Finally, the achievement list. True, this isn't a big deal for some but it does affect gameplay for a big percentage of the 360 community. GTA IV had a dull, predictable, often frustrating list. Collect all 200 hidden packages. Complete all stunt jumps. Win X amount of multiplayer matches. This is just lazy. Saints Row 2 provided a far more refreshing list and a more gracious GS distribution to boot.

Gears 2! The single player was good. Multiplayer was broken at launch, stayed that way for a few months, and now after the patch isn't much better. I've never been more disappointed or let down by a game.

3kratos3

You realise that you have the capability to shoot without them in the game right, so than dont use the Vats maybe that would fix the problem?.. Also about difficulty, set the difficuly level at the hardest and wear regular clothes if you want alittle more of a challenge, though i have to admit thati just wear whatever and i still dont die much at all because of all the stimpaks i have.

Fable2 was great, though not as dramatically different from the first as was once thought it would be,I have to say that if anyone liked the first one, they would love the second because it was a super+ version of Fable1 if nothing else.

About AssassinsCreed.. Yeah, its got clunky controls if you have Re**** hands, I remember it controllingquite smoothly, though i do give you the part whereit doesget alittle repetative and i wouldlikedmore customization, the ability to play through the game with all your items, and asassination missions that werent main story associated that you could do on the side thatinclude tracking your target and so on.Whats unrealistic about it besides the climbing? You cleave a guy in the collar and he dies, seems realistic enough for me. Story wasnt fantastaculanificent, but it wasnt bad either.
