What games were you going to pass on and ended up liking

Mass Effect, picked it up cuz i saw it for $20 and played it, thought it was boring, played it again, thought it was boring, people kept talking about how good it was so i forced myself to try it again and once i got farther into the story i really loved it, love the 2nd one even more

the original Mass Effect, picked it up on sale about a year after it was released and loved every second of it (well except the Mako :P)

Mass Effect and Bioshock.

Red Dead Redemption. Wasn't interested in it at all until the day before release.
