Up coming games, that the old generation consolose had mostly finished with the games and online. i still to get my membership and hook it up and i have had it for two weeks, but the only game i have is oblivion.
I got mine at launch so for me I was convinced by Call of Duty 2 and Oblivion (DoA4 was also something I wanted but isn't a system seller to me). I knew down the road there would be other games like Halo 3 and such so I felt like the 360 would give me what I was looking for.
Originally, it was for Gears and Oblivion. Now, it's really because of Mass Effect (played through 4 times), Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, and Mistwalker (Blue Dragon was so-so, I admit, but Lost Odyssey is the best JRPG since FFX on the PS2)
Extensive library, great online component, just a very well put together system. Even after one RROD, I'm still impressed! Oh...and Gears of War and Mass Effect as well:D
Simply because it was cheaper than ps3, with more games that seemed to be successful in market, great live feature, and afcourse because it had my best football franchise winning 11 on it :D
i dided a next gen game console, i didn't feel like paying 600 (400 now ithink) for a ps3. i didn't like gamecube games i barely played it. i didn't want that to happen if i bought a wii. even though wii is pritty funy. last game i bought was legend of zelda twilight princes it was a good game.
The main reason I got the Xbox 360 was because I loved everything about the original Xbox. I also got it because the original Xbox was a much more reliable machine than my PS2, which died 6 months in. My Xbox 360 at the current time is a launch unit, never repaired...
Got my first 360 on launch day. My friend Tom and I sat on the floor at Wal-Mart for 8 hours. We were 9th and 10th in line and they only had 44 systems. 24 Premiums and 20 Cores. Over a hundred people came late and were turned away. If you weren't in line by 6 PM you didn't get a system that day, lol!
My main reasons for getting the 360 at launch were Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham 3, Ridge Racer 6, NBA 2K6 and Madden 06. Those and knowing that Dead Or Alive 4 was coming out the next month sealed the deal.
