If I could only have one I would choose neither, since they're both different enough for me to enjoy both of them so I really couldn't possibly choose between them.
hard choice...i would prefer COD4 but then again i wouldnt mid expericing Halo3 on the xbox360 and seeing the ending(even though i hate halo) im still getting it tho:D...i would pick Halo just by a little bit, very little bit. lucky they dont come out ssame time..but if they did ill get them both like i am anyway. I kindahave thisdilema this month with stranglehold, MOH:Airbourne and Halo3..im picking all 3 up but...what one first:P
Halo3because of 2 reasons 1- my GT is HalocdT so everyone would look at that and think why isnt he playing halo and 2- The Halo3 viral campaign sold me
just straight off it's a difficult question to answer, i've actually enjoyed the multiplayer cod4 beta more than i did that of halo 3 beta, but then i'm not gonna do the story mode for cod4 most likely and i will deffinitely for halo 3...it's a tough question to answer...but in the end i choose halo 3, i can wait for CoD4...

You hate Halo and yet, you're going to buy the game for the sake of seeing the ending? So you must be intrigued enough by the storyline to buy a game that you hate.
Halo of course..why? because i prefer Halo over CoD..i like the multiplayer of Halo 2 better then what ive played in CoD4 and the 3 multiplayer will be about the same so i choose Halo. I also think the Halo campaign will be a lot better then CoD4 since well CoD has always been more about its multi then its story and i think Halo wins there as well.
I would buy both, but i would choose halo 3 over call of duty 4 easy... I have never even played the other 3... wait the first level from 3 started up then i returned the game... ROFL
I was in the halo3 beta and thought it was great. I'm now in the cod4 beta and also think it is great. Its really too bad because I still play halo 2 a lot and wish somehow cod4 could have came out this summer. I know if I buy it I'll never play it as much as halo 3 or hardly at all. All my friends will play halo which is also an important factor. Don't get me wrong i think the cod4 beta is really fun, way better then I expected. Its just a shame that I won't get to properly enjoy both games.
I am not quite sure how cod is getting so much hype, the last one wasn't that good, and they are all very similar. I know this one has a different time setting, but its still going to be the same type of game. I am sure call of duty will be a good game, but I would be shocked if this game got over an 8.5 on this site. I am just so sick of hearing about the new cod, I will certainly wait for the reviews before I even consider buying another cod. I will be picking halo 3 up at midnight.
