Halo 3. And not because I think it's a "better" game than COD4, but because the hype and anticipation was so big for that game, it wouldn't matter what else was released on that day. I didn't see huge release parties and lines curling around Gamestop or Best Buy when COD4 came out.
I have always been a huge fan of COD and it is more my type of game so i would pick COD4 but even now after the dust has settled i would still pick it i only played Halo 3 for 2 days got bored and havent played it since
