What if Microsoft have been secretly working on their own MMO?

This is an interesting article courtesy of TeamXbox.com.

Crytek says MS is slow for Champions online

Any one else wonder with the success of Warcraft, Eve-online, EveSoft, Sony making inroads to an MMO type game on the PS3.

Microsoft have been very quiet about it, and I don;t if it may have to be a technical issue like dedicated servers or something.

What do you guys think?

Could be that. I believe Xbox has rules on servers requirements that the game be able to run perfectly on the worst possible connection. That's why we don't get many games with many games with 32v32 or something like that.

yeah,

It may also be a pricing issue.

It actually doesn't look good if gamers are paying a Live subscription and a MMO subscription as well.

Though I may not have to much of a prolem with it it just seems there is to many charges that may turn away potential customers.

Yea your right. They might just let it happen if PS3 does it and the only issue will be price like you said.

OP I think you meant "Cryptic" instead of "Crytek". I wish then that Microsoft would get this all sorted out, I would like to try my hand at a console MMO for some reason, but not bad enough to try out FF XI or Phantasy Star Universe, no disrespect to those two games, but they're not my cup of tea.

Agreed. I was a fan of MMOs back in the day and never really got into WoW so my MMO selection is thinner. I'd like to try something out on a console so I don't have to trick out a new PC to run the game (they seem to run slow on my laptop). I just don't think Champions is going to be it.
