I have a hard time comprehending the map size of that game. For starters Oblivion is supposed to be 16 sq. miles, San Andres 14 sq. miles, and GTAIV 10 squre miles. And now i'm hearing that Just Cause is 400 sq miles? is that true? If so how in the heck can that be lol? And what is it like playing on a map that big? I used to play WoW and i don't think it even came close to that. Is the world filled with tons of stuff or what, IDK its hard to imagion and does it all fit on one disk??

Yea, the map is huge. Its a whole of a hell lot bigger than san andreas. You can just land in some random jungle after jumping out a your plane and then spend like 10 min of trying to get out of it. Just stand ontop of a mountain and look around and u will think holy hell this map is big

It's huge, really huge. The view from a chopper or jet is amazing. I recently played Just Cause 2 quite a bit then went back to playing GTA IV. The difference is crazy. Liberty City feels tiny now.

Just Cause 2 map is about 30 or 32 square miles, whoever said 400 squares miles must have been high.

oh really? lol, ive read in two different forums that it was 400 square miles, i just thought that was not realistic. But after hearing it the second time i had to hear from people if that was true or not. So its a little more than twice the size of oblivion? that still seems big but not 400 sq. miles lol

No matter what size it is, it's still huge for a video game world.

Yea its massive... takes like 5 minutes atleast just to go from one side to the other in a jet... Plus its always fun hijacking a heli and hearing the guy fall like a 1000ft to his doom.

Actually, you're confusing the map sizes a bit. From what I've read, JC2 has a map size of 32 x 32 km, not squared (that would be 1024 km sq), which is roughly 20 x 20 mi, or 400 square miles. It is that huge.

It's huge.. Just running across the desert takes an insane amount of time. The backdrop and vistas are beautiful.. Goes to show that certain games *Cough Oblivion Cough* will have to come out with their big guns in the next Oblivion. Just Cause does an excellent job with creating such a vast universe.

it's absolutely awesome to play Just Cause 2, the story and the voice acting and the realism are atrocious, but the gameplay is pure fun. The map looks absolutely astonishing also if you view it from a jet.

best open world game ive played so far :D red dead redemptions gonna beat it though!

(Hijacking a jet, throwing the guy out, then jumping out after him and falling with him, watching him scream and twist is the best part about this game!)

yea dude the map is huge... its fun just flying around and trying random stuff.

i have san andreas from xbox arcade... but this game tops it in terms of just fun stuff to do and different things you can try with the grappling hook. i do wish you could go into more buildings though

the only downfall is it doesn't have multiplayer!!:P
