What is Microsoft thinking?

After going over the exclusives of the 360 and the PS3 over the past couple years, I've realized that Sony has Microsoft beat by a longshot as far as exclusives. My question is, why can't Microsoft realize that they should get more exclusive games if they want to lead the gaming competition? They've been focusing way too much attention on Kinect so the effect has been that exclusives on the Playstation 3 are smashing the competition. Looking back at the previous generations consoles, this also seems to be the case.

it seems to be going well for them so far, they have consistantly outsold the PS3 since it's launch. The way I see it is PS3 NEEDS exclusives just to stay alive, Xbox runs 99% of multiplatform games better and smoother than the PS3, so in other words get a PS3 for their exclusives, get an Xbox for everything else.

The battle of exclusives is clearly a matter of opinion and many would argue quality over quantity with Microsoft and Sony. Just cause Sony has more doesn't mean they won. Plus there is a reason xbox has better sales.

I have both the Xbox 360 and the PS3,and I much prefur my Xbox 360.I don't have much use for the PS3.But of cource,that's my opinion.
