Gamestop and EB Games are the same company. The Edge card is a gift card from them. If you trade in games they can also put your store credit on the Edge card

"I went to gamestop yesterday (in NJ) and instead of a paper slip I got an edge card with Gamestop and EBgames logos on it. It has an account number and a pin so it looks like it could most likely be used online (which is sweet). It seems as if I could use it at either Gamestop and EB and also add to it via trade-ins through either store which is nice. I was using strictly gamestop for trade-ins but now I have more stores acessible if need be. GOOD RIDDANCE TO PAPER SLIPS!" I googled it, it's like a credit note card. You can top it up whenever you want and if you trade in games instead of getting a credit note it goes onto the card. Only difference between a real credit card is the fact you can't go over your limit XD.

I have an Edge card from Gamestop, but have never used it since they gave it to me. I always take it out whenever I sell or buy games, but they just ask for my phone number. I think the card is kinda worthless from my experience. Then again, I don't know that I've got store credit since I got it. I usually immediately put the money towards a game or a game reservation.

Take it to a store and have them check it out, I didn't think I had any credit on my Edge card and I had the store manager check for me and I had $37 on it, so I was able to get Sonic and the Secret Rings for only $13 :)

The More Card takes 10% off preowned games and accessories, the Edge card is for store credit from trade ins, or you can just go in and give them money and ask them to put it on an Edge card if you wanted to give the card as a gift

its not really worthless, but another card out of many people usually has in their wallets to loose.  it replaces the reciepts you get for credit, that way the ink doesnt run off (mine always did) and i find it more conveinient (sp).

i didnt get the point either b/c the first time i got one, and used the credit on it a week or so later, the dude took the card from me, i thought i was suppose to keep it at first, then was like...nah maybe its a one time use thing so they can give it to the next customer who needs it.  but now i got to keep the one i just used for crackdown and sup. com.

now to hope my comp runs sup. com.  did the demo but who knows....
