Kameo. Game is really good, but it gets overlooked because it's a launch title and doesn't involve shooting people with guns.

#1 sleeper - Braid. Still one of my favorite gaming experiences of all-time despite it being just an XboxLive arcade game and it not being that long. I dont think ANYONE was expecting that game to be as good as it was.
Viva Pinata is another great sleeper. And while its arguable because it had a lot of hype, I think it was more considered a 'kiddy' game, and it was very surprising when it was actually really fun for anybody, regardless of age.
Kameo falls ina similar boat as Viva Pinata but it was a bit more embraced as it was a launch title and a platformer(sequel please!).
depends on how you define a sleeper.. Too Human is still one of my favorites on the 360, but it had hype, lost it, but when i really got into the game i couldn't put it down and played through it 3 times. Only other game i've ever played through a 2nd time was Deadspace which is just awesome.
Still play Table Tennis once and awhile, that game is really well done. And loved Kameo.. may have to give that a second run through
Culdcept Saga. It was criminally under appreciated. Perhaps moreso than any other game on the 360...
I would say that almost any of the LIVE Arcade games could be considered sleeper hits because of the lack of advertising behind them. Many of these games have become wildly popular: Castle Crashers, Braid, Peggle, The Maw.
I have played those games almost as much as CoD4 or any other AAA title with tons of marketing behind it.
I forgot to say it, but Raiden Fighters Aces needs to be said. 3 fantastic shmups on 1 disc for $19.99.
[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]Left 4 Dead....it's underrated and got little hype when released. Hickamie14I don't think L4D is a sleeper hit. First of all, it had plenty of hype proceeding it's release, and second, it is still one of the most popular games on Xbox LIVE. I don't think L4D qualifies.
So you don't think Left 4 Dead is a sleeper hit (I agree), but you think Bioshock is?
Anwyay, I'm gonna go with Earth Defense Force 2017.
L4D and Bioshock are both AAA titles how can thy be called sleeper hits ? I think The Darkness and Dead Space are some of the best though.
Batman: Arkham Asylum.... alot of people are going to flame, but let me finish...
Alot of my friends played the demo and tried to hate on the game and were bashing it before it was released. Then I got the game, day one beat it the following week. My best friend came over played it, then bought it for his PS3. Then two more friends played it at my house and also purchased it. Then I lent it to my cousin and I haven't seen my Batman since...
The Darkness is the best sleeper hit ever. I remember when I first started playing it and wondered why no one ever told me about it. Was a brilliant game and I really think the next one should be marketed tons more.
It seems that everybody is pretty much on the same page lol, the Darkness is the best sleeper hit this gen, most epic non-AAA title this gen for sure.it begins with D and ends in SS..

Fracture got a little coverage before release, but practically nothing afterwards. It's actually pretty awesome.
Crackdown got a 5 outta 5 on X-Play back in 2007, and it's one of my favorite games. It definitely doesn't get enough praise, at least not anymore.
They're both several years old and can be gotten cheap.
IL2 Birds of Prey.
It's a brand new game, check it out if you haven't already, it needs a lot more players online.
I would have to say Crackdown. Almost every copy this game sold early on was because of the Halo 3 Beta and that is one of the only reasons people were able to discover a great game. Now it has come so far that the sequel is on this months cover of gameinformer.
Miner Dig Deep. Nobody has heard of it, because it is a true sleeper. XBLA indie game, 80 points (one buck!) and very cool. Its a simple adventure/treasure hunt game that just sucks my time. Look it up =)
