This is not strictly a FPS, but really enjoy the alien blaster in fallout 3. It has a 95% critical hit chance:twisted:

For me, the most memorable guns tend to be the really powerful ones. The Reedeemer from Unreal, the Hammer of Dawn from Gears, and the BFG 9000 from Doom are all very kick-ass.

Here's my favorite, from a lesser-known shooter, Strife:

It's called the Sigil of the One God. It's on par with the BFG in terms of damage potential. You can clear out a whole courtyard of common enemies with this thing. It uses your health for ammo, though, so you can't screw around.

gonna sound like a old timer but for me the lightning gun and rocket launcher from quake 1 and the chainsaw from doom(technically not a gun but fun as heck back in the day)

The rocket launcher from Quake was awesome. That thing was ridiculously over-powered, at least once people learned how to aim (look ma', mouselook!).

That one gunthat shoots far and is all magicky magic that can build a pumpkin out of peanuts, then go to Egypt and find a magical monkey wrench that can travel through time to the 5th demension, and grow hair from the feet of smurfs, that can also grow extra large nike shoes that sell them to Microsoft for extra cheap price, so that they can maximize profits to help world hunger, and charity, but sorry I seem to have gotten off-topic in my rants about world peace, The Holy Grail, and blue bannanna' that can grow mold from thier very special glucose glands, oh yeah maybe in October Halo 2 will come out and we can flush halo 3 down the toilet, hmmmm.......sounds like a good idea to be then Master Chief can go to Rapture and chill like a cucumber with the Big Daddy's and maybe even hook up with a few Splicer's. Yeah sounds like a swell idea to me Freddy, could please pass the mustard so I can go to Wal-Mart and buy Gears of War 2. Yeah but I really favor the sniper rifle so that I can pick off the teletubies that terrorize me at night, even Alistair Tenpenny can join me. I know he likes to shoot random $h@# that moves around unexpectantly. I went down to Arkansas to buy some healthy slaves, when out the blue Solid Snake jumped out, and smoked a ciggerette, too bad he's got cancer or he would have caught me, but he didn't chase me for too long because his Alzheimers kicked in and he forgot who I was. In all honesty I dont know who I am. Maybe a Bunny with cookies named poo? Me too but it just seems a bit too easy when using it. I love the challenge of dominating with the Scout and Spy. I never used to use them but no i do all the time. The scout is very powerful if you know how to dodge only problem is tight spaces.

and i guess The doom 3 pistol just because it look Weirdly Awesome :P
