I'm on my second 360, not because of any 'Ring of Death', but because I sold my first one. As someone who lived for trophies (when I had a PS3), I can honestly say I do not care about achievements. Sure, they are neat and I like getting them. However, I would rather play a game I want to play, rather than kill myself to get every achievement in a game. Sure, I'll get the easy ones, play on hardest difficulty and whatnot, but I've got a huge 360 backlog I got to get through. ;) Also, I'm a little behind on people with 30k+ to try and catch up now.

Around 32k.

Sure I go for them now. Only if there not boring, to hard or if they take to long.

I used to hate them back but they give me a new way to replay my games.

Haven't touch my xbox in a few months but my GS is 25987. I usually don't go directly for achieves 1st time through, but if I love the game I will replay it to try and get them. Better if their more challenging....Beating Hitman BM on rookie was an insult after beat it on Expert and Pro :|.

I think I'm at 1500 right now. But I've also had about 6 gamertags since my Halo 2 days, so my combined gamerscore would be about 20k. It doesn't help that I play some multi-platform games on my PS3 too.

Yeah, i go for achievements where they're reasonable. I love chievos cause they add so much more replay value, like how i recently played Assassins Creed II for an extra 3 hrs or so to get the full 1k, or in Modern Warfare 2 where i spent many painful (but fun) hours trying to do veteran.

A little over 60k. I sort of go on random streaks of caring about gamerscore all of a sudden, mostly when I really like the game. But for the majority of the time, I don't play soley for achievements.

I am currently at 10975 for my gamerscore and normally I play through the game and check for achievements as I play and try to get as many as possible.

25.5k and I don't play games for achievements. I used to whenever I played alot but then my gaming slowed down drastically. Saying that I have been playing games ALOT more recently so I am going to be going for achievements once again as I used to have a ton of fun doing so.

Gamerscore is nearing 30K and I've had my 360 for nearly 3 years. I try to get as many achievements as possible in my first playthrough of a game, and only go for the rest if I really like the game or from boredom :P

I'm about to hit 17,000 any day now. When I first started gaming on Xbox I thought simply getting to 5,000 or 10,000 would be excessive but here I am now almost at 20k. I honestly don't go for achievements if they seem stupid and unattainable. For example, I'm playing Dead Rising 2 right now. Am I going to attempt the 72,000 kills achievement? No. Can I actually do it if I tried to? Sure.. but I'm not interested in doing menial tasks to the point where it becomes a chore just for 20 GS. I will aim for an achievement if it seems like a fun challenge. I'll admit they do somewhat add replay value to my games, but only when they're done the right way. Some developers have this idea that you should suffer for your achievements and that's a big turn-off in my opinion and it just leaves you kind of frustrated.

i have 10k and it depends for me because i love gathering achievment for sandbox type games like.. assassins creed or crackdown or saints row, gta, etc.. it also depends how enjoyable the game is cuz if its boring and the achievments take to long or git boring i lose interest therefor onto the next game. =p

I just go for them whenever i'm bored.

You see, the error you made here....was posting on a public forum, admitting to illegal activities (which is against forum rules)...not only that, but having your xbox live gamertag asscociated with your account.

Nearly 60k (about 1000 away I think). I don't really go for achievements. I just play the game through and if there is an achievement I can easily get while I'm playing I'll get it.

I'm at around 25k. I used to play games for achievements, then I realized i was missing the point of playing games in the first place, and stopped going for them.

My gamer score is around 9000. I play a game to complete it, not for the achievements. The achievements are a nice bonus if I come across them

I think I'm in the area of 11k.

There was a time when I kinda cared about achievements but seeing too much stuff on Giantbomb and other sites where people were telling folk how to cheese and glitch their way to them made it all seem like a waste. I have to really love a game to even look at the achievements now-a-days. Even then, I probably won't go for them. I still get them because I'm a prideful gamer and I usually want to show a game that I can kick it's ass, so I tend to get a decent amount of skill based achievements or stuff that you'd naturally get if you loved a game and played it a lot.
