the pirates series and the bourne series. unfortunately universal hasn't signed on so the bourne series is going to be a no show (at least when it comes to movies, universal may not have a contract, but for tv shows, it's nbc division does have a contract.)
@scotty995, the star wars series will not show up because fox hasn't signed a contract with ms for xbl movies or tv shows. sony hasn't signed any contracts either so no underworld. though disney signed a contract, they haven't put up any abc tv shows yet.
so far tv and movie studios that have signed up include viacom, disney, time warner, paramount, and universal.
at the guy who asked if these are rentals and/or hd, all movies are rentals for now because of the 20gb hdd limitation but movies may one day be up for ownership as well as rentals. not all movies are hd. all the new disney movies are hd with dolby digital audio. some warner movies and paramount movies are hd. some, not all hd movies have dd. ms will tell you if it has dd by saying parenthetically Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio. if it doesn't say it, even in hd, the movie is in stereo. if you have an avr, they will tell you if the movie is multichannel. mine, a 4 year old sony STR-DE597 says if it is multi-channel or not, and if it is, a blue led will light up.
so far, there are 230 movies for rental with big name new releases coming from disney this fall and even more movies from other studios coming soon. why won''t fox sign on? i want to Kingdom of Heaven in HD even though i own the two disc dvd.
*crosses finger* here's to hoping 300 comes up for rental in August.
edit:
HD movies range from 360 points ($4.50) to 480 points ($6) per rental. the 360 point versions are for older catalogue titles like Braveheart where as the 480 point movies are for new releases like The Queen (which i have downloaded but have yet to watch.)
