What new game this year will be the start of a franchise?

Which new games this year are good enough but more importantly deserving, of being the first in a series of games?

Prototype for instance for me, while I loved it, believed they covered the story fairly well and they dont really need a sequel.

I would play one :P but it is not really important to have one.

Just wondering your opinions on the matter!

Dragon Age Origins but didn't they announce it will have a sequel a while back? If I'm not mistaken it will be a trilogy but I might be getting my games mixed up.. Either way I want another one.

Borderlands. They even said a Second one was a no brainer.

It is not the first one but AC 2.I think that game revived the series and it will have at least 2 more games coming.

Dragon Age and Borderlands forsure.

I also hope they make another Risen rpg, I loved the first one (played on PC).

Borderlands, as it has far exceeded 2K's expectations for sales, will more than likely see a sequel. And of course Dragon Age was basically developed under the assumption that there would be at least a part 2 and 3.UT_Wrestler

From what I heard from the game it sounds like it will be more then just a trilogy. But I could be wrong. I guess this is an uneducated guess.

Well the options aren't very extensive. Most of the really good games this year were sequels.

Quality new IP's include:

- Red Faction: Guerillia

- Prototype

- Brutal Legend

- Borderlands

And thats really it. I dont really count Dragon Age: Origins as its just a reimagined Baldur's Gate.
