xbox live is down today beacuse of new stuff i was told, what new stuff are we getting? like maybe be able to send message from 360 to poeples email or Clan support or somehting? does any one know

they wouldn't take live down for 12+ hours for an update. If it was the spring update you'd just see "hey look, download this update"

Well considering that ive never seen Xbox Live crash or just decide to not work i dont mind giving them a few hours so it makes sure it still works.
