okay so I am finally getting an Xbox 360 on friday, and I am really psyched about it. However, just recently I heard that a new 60gb model of the Pro system (which I am buying) could be coming out soon (I also heard it could be coming out much later this year). So now I am trying to decide if I should wait to see if it comes out (I really, really want my 360) or just go ahead and buy the 20gb, and if that isnt enough space, just manually upgrade later. I figured that the most logical option would be to call around to the local stores that sell games/systems and ask them if they have the new 60gb models in. If they dont get em in by friday, then I just buy the 20gb model. Does that sound like a good plan?

Someone today said they saw it at Target. i don't know if he was lying, but I would investigate that before buying.

I had a 20gb Pro, now I own an elite.... I've got to tell you that the 20 gb was great, if you want to get loads of demos and videos u should wait for the 60gb but if you just want it to play your retail games the 20 gb is a great buy for $299.99

The 60Gb Xbox 360 doesn't ship until Aug. 4 so if you want your Xbox you're gona have to settle for the 20Gb for now. I think you have the right idea when you say you'll upgrade the HDD later if you need the space.

best of luck in your gaming ventures!

Do not know if the price drop happened already but I would wait for it and also if you are going to put music and movies on your 360 go for the 60 GB but if you are not going to just stream music and movies then the 20 GB is just fine.

not movies or music whatsoever, but I may want a game or two off the XBLA. Will the 20g be okay if I want a few games off there (not many, just a few, and absolutely NO Xbox Original Titles)

I have the 20g and have never had a problem with space. If you download alot of Xbox originals you will have a problem. I have Ninja Gadien Black,5 or 6 demos, probally like 7 arcade titles and like 5 movies on my hard drive. I have to delete movies when I order new ones but you can't watch them again after they expire anyways so its a non issue for me.

the 60Gb is shipping Aug. 4, and the price drop for the pro already happened so the PRO is now $299!

Best time to buy the 20 Gb

the 20gb sounds good

I have an elite though[120gb],

if you wanna get loads of stuff like movies, demos, etc.....

then I recommend you maybe wait a little longer to get the elite

but if you don't wana wait, just go for it and buy the 20gb 360.

Just wait about a week and get it. So you think about the future of your gaming with the much needed storage.

If you're planning on downloading a whole bunch of stuff then you should wait for either the 60 Gb, or go for the much more pricey Xbox elite. It comes down to how much you plan to store on your Xbox really.
