what songs do you think guitar hero 3 should have?

All the difference sub genre's including bands judas priest, iron maiden, black sabbath, slayer, megadeth, children of bodom, dragonforce, in flames.. etc etc... wanna see heavy, death, progressive, speed, thrash, new wave, power.. all of it.. I am well aware some of the bands I listed already have songs but the general point is lots and lots of metal from the many subgenres and ages.. Plus there will be downloadable content so bring on more lol..

But yeah, I didn't bother with the other ones because im mainly into metal and actually play guitar but ive seen all the awesome songs in this one so im so in! .. GH3 FTW!

I've only played Guitar Hero 2, so forgive me if this song has already been on a Guitar Hero somewhere, but I think "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas would be good. In general, I think that Guitar Hero 3 needs more variety than Guitar Hero 2 had. It needs some more "ballad" type songs to go along with the heavy shredding.nocoolnamejim

As far as what I think ought to be in there? Well, I think "School's Out" by Alice Cooper was a lame choice... "Halo of Flies" -- or just about anything from "Killer" or "Love It To Death" -- would've been better. "Paint It Black" by the Stones is a great song and all, but it's a little overdone and is heavier on sitar than guitar. I'll say "Monkey Man" instead. And ENOUGH with "Rock and Roll All Nite" by KISS. How about "Deuce" or "Shock Me"? The Blue Oyster Cult song is a decent choice, but I think something off of "Secret Treaties" would've been better... like "Flaming Telepaths". And "Welcome To The Jungle", while better than "Paradise City" is more than a little overdone too... I recognize that there aren't that many GNR songs without profanity in them, but they could've bleeped "Mr Brownstone" without issue or given us "Rocket Queen".

We also need more Motorhead ("We Are The Road Crew", maybe?), more Rush ("Passage To Bangkok", "Jacob's Ladder", whatever... "Cygnus X-1" would be freaking EPIC, though... but I'd settle for "Anthem", heck I'd even settle for "Tom Sawyer" or "Freewill" just more Rush), more Black Sabbath ("NIB", "Into The Void", "Snowblind", "Sabbra Cadabra", whatever).

We need Zeppelin... just about any song would do, though I prefer not the overdone ones like "Rock And Roll" or "Black Dog"... maybe "The Ocean"? It's still a little overdone, but you can't argue with that monster riff can you? The Kinks, while unlikely, are a very underrated band. Something off of Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" album... maybe the title track, "Cross Eyed Mary" or "Locomotive Breath". "Whipping Post" by the Allman Brothers and "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits. Also, most importantly, "Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad?" by Derek and the Dominos (featuring Eric Clapton and Duane Allman). We also need some Monster Magnet, because they're the most underrated band ever.

Unholy grimness is something I long for in a game. Doesn't even need to be underground BM, I'd be perfectly happy with bands like Emperor, Burzum, Deathspell Omega, Mayhem, old Satyricon and Samael, Gorgoroth, Immortal etc.

I'm betting there'll be a Metalcore Guitar Hero soon (probably the 'heaviest' version they'll ever come up with)...something all of us could do without.
