halo 3 isn't going to be speical, really. the will have to pull off some great story in order to get a nice score. graphics wise, it isn't more than a 9. sound, knowing halo, it'll be amazing...multi is the same so even though it's fun, it won't necessarly help boost the score...
Given recent trends in reviews and previews, I'm inclined to believe that Halo 3 breaks the 9.7 barrier. The game has been delayed and delayed, Bungie is taking their time in getting it right. They need to iron out those graphics a bit but who knows? It will be AAA regardless.

When was it ever delayed? The game hasn't had a release date until recently and they said from the beginning it was coming out in 07. Delayed would be like Half Life 2: The Orange Box which was originally scheduled for a winter '06/'07 release.Â

Graphics and sound play a smaller role in the initial review score, gameplay, tilt, and value are the biggest factors in the equation.

 The Singleplayer graphics WILL be much better  Dan Shoe over at EGM said he got a sneak peak at the singleplayer and he said that it was very much improved over the multiplayer graphics.
Seeing that it is the culmination of the best things of Halo:Combat Evolved and Halo 2, it will most definitely get an Editor's Choice award and overall Game of the Year.
This games gonna get a 9+ just for the multiplayer even if singleplayer sucks. It'll be atleast 9.6 so Halo fans don't get pissed that it got lower then Gears.
I'm predicting a 9.2-9.6, I don't think it will get above a 9.6. I came up with more specific ratings in one of the other threads floating around here.

yeah i guess i got mixed up with the game informer version. halo1 got a 9.7 and halo 2 got a 9.4
9.5 0r 9.6 but no higher or lower than Halo or Halo 2. I love the ideal of equipment, and these new weapons, I just hope bungie does not forget about the campqain.

Halo 3 has never ever been delayed, it was announced last year with a release date of 2007 and it is going to come out on sept 25 so you are wrong it has never been delayed.

they did say it was gonna come out earlier but didnt promise so i dont know if that counts as delayed but i think the game will get a low nine unless single player is amazing efvven though the onoline will blow gears out of the water there seems to b a lot of good games comin out soon
