What upcoming game do you think is over-hyped ?

According to me its Too Human .. Personally i dont find anything great in the game ..

Most of the big releases coming later this year - Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears 2

Games are getting judged more like movies - if they don't take X million in the first week they are deemed a failure. They can't wait for word of mouth to spread and generate sales, so they pump masses into the advertising machine and hope it pays off.

far cry 2 is hyped up a fair bit and i think its gonna be effing awsome tho

You can't really tell whether somethings over-hyped or not until the final product is out. I agree that, based off of the demo, Too Human is over-hyped, but I guess we'll see.resident-shell

Too Human for me...I never seen one game play video about the game and it wasn't appealing to me. Didn't download the demo or anything. I think its gonna be way too over-hyped like Alone in the Dark.

Even though if it does suxk, it will sell alot on its first day when most of the fans think its good :P and in less then a week regret about it :P

They're probably the same ppl that cry "Veto, veto, veto veto......." non stop in Halo.... like ppl will veto because you tell them to.

I definately agree with everyone who thinks too human is over rated but i would also suggest star wars the force unleashed as the shots and videos don't look that special but i will be open minded until i have played it.

P.S: I can't believe that Gears of War 2 is cropping up under this topic!!!

My my, arnt you a little paranoid .. i dont hate too human .. i just feel that its not that great compared to the other games comin out like fallout 3, far cry 2 , tales of vesperia , etc .

And sorry, Gears 2 will NOT be one of the best games made in history as, like previously stated, the first Gears wasn't even that great. The only thing it had going for it was being the first game to use the Unreal 3 engine (which is already played out and wack now). The story was damn near non-existant, it was repetitive, and it was way too short. Why do people put Gears up on this pedestal when there are many games that destroy it?

I agree for the most part. There will always be fans who enjoy it, but I never thought it was all that great. Oh, and as far as people playing a game that came out years ago, GOW is not alone in this by any means. People still play Halo 2 and I even got into some games in COD2 a few weeks back and look at how long people have been playing Counter Strike and Half-Life 2. I do think GOW got a lot of attention just because there was not a lot of competition when it was released and it had good graphics, but I think it is still being overhyped today.

The Force Unleashed is receiving much less attention than I expected, and I do think Too Human is over-hyped. I was pretty stoked about that game up until about six months ago, and now I am sick of hearing about it.

I dont judge other games on a Gears of War scale so I agree it is dumb to do that, but when did you see a 3rd person shooter with a cover system that did it quite perfectly before Gears came out. Lots of people still play, the Unreal Engine wasnt its only good feature, the story was short, and it seems to get better in Gears 2. I accept peoples opinions but some of the things you stated just arent true.

all the games that are getting alot of hype to me look like they deserve it, but then again i havent played them =/.

id say brothers in arms is under-hyped, but that might be because everyone copies opinions about how bored they are of WWII games.

I didn't find Fallout to be appealing either... hell, as a SERIES I don't see the appeal. Fallout 1 and 2 were incredibly boring.
