What upcoming game do you think is over-hyped ?

I didn't find Fallout to be appealing either... hell, as a SERIES I don't see the appeal. Fallout 1 and 2 were incredibly boring.

I hated Fallout 1 and 2 and still do not see why some of my friends loved them so much, so I had no intention of even considering playing Fallout 3 until recently. It is starting to look more like a Morrowind/Oblivion type game set in the future, and that does have potential. I probably still won't get it, though.

I definately agree with everyone who thinks too human is over rated but i would also suggest star wars the force unleashed as the shots and videos don't look that special but i will be open minded until i have played it.

P.S: I can't believe that Gears of War 2 is cropping up under this topic!!!

Agreed. I've seen a couple of topics dedicated to hating the game.

Too Human and Fable 2. Fallout 3's not getting too much love from the vets and GOW2 is getting shockingly less hype than the first did. Im seeing less "Tis the PWn355!!!1337!!" and more "It looks like a slightly improved version of #1, which isnt really a bad thing......"

What about games that are underhyped? Im thinking L4d should get more attention, who wouldnt like being in 28 days later with a handful of zombiecide shells (thats a shotgun shell if you didnt know)

i dont know what people see in it. It looks like a repetitive button masher if u ask me.

i think fallout 3 is overhyped also gears 2 looks exactly same as the first one (animations,ext) onuruca

That's pretty stupid to let one game jade your view on other games. And sorry, Gears 2 will NOT be one of the best games made in history as, like previously stated, the first Gears wasn't even that great. I dont judge other games on a Gears of War scale so I agree it is dumb to do that, but when did you see a 3rd person shooter with a cover system that did it quite perfectly before Gears came out. Lots of people still play, the Unreal Engine wasnt its only good feature, the story was short, and it seems to get better in Gears 2. I accept peoples opinions but some of the things you stated just arent true.

Completley true, Gears ROCKED and so will Gears2. Gears is easily one of the main reason I wanted and eventually bought a 360. I still come back to this game, and honestly I think the game was pretty long but maybe it's just b/c I have college, a job, friends and a girlfriend in my life and don't have much time to play alot. The length was perfect. Graphics STILL set the bar.

far cry 2 is hyped up a fair bit and i think its gonna be effing awsome tho

i dont think far cry 2 is hyped up enough, the gameplay footage/demos look amazing! but i also would say too human after playing the demo

Its ok too human is a touchy subject in this forum anyways lol,

but neways on topic: I think the most over hyped game coming out is Fable 2, I want it but I think the air surrounding a sequel is a little too thick, but I will not be disappointed is I am proved wrong.
