Well, in your opinion what is the Xbox 360's biggest flaw? This is not including any technical issues, like the red ring of death or anything like that.

That it costs so much for themes, not that I really care about it anyway, I'm at my dashboard for like 10 seconds at a time. Same goes for gamerpics, but I don't care much for those anyway, though I did buy a set, but it was only like 80 points, and i had 100 points left over w/ nothing to spend it on.
I couldn't stand the noise for a while but I got used to it although my new Xbox 360 makes very little noise. So I guess I don't have any complaints anymore.
For me it is 2 things
1. They charge you to play online although the quality of service is better they are a huge company and can prolly let us use the service for free.
2. The wireless controllers, the wireless PS3 controllers come with a cord and you can just plug the cord in and charge the controller whenever the battery runs dead. I do not want to spend an extra 20 dollars just to do this with my xbox controllers so i stick with wired controllers and sometimes i will use my wireless if i feel like wasting batteries.
Other than those 2 things i say it is a perfect experience for me anyways.

The company Energizer actually made the battery packs. They are specialized to last longer.2. i dont have a charger i dont see how you missed that
i said i would NOT spend 20 dollars on the charge and play and i use REGULAR batteries not rechargable ones when i am not using my wired controller which i use 95% of the time.

Its not about them lasting longer or anything of that nature i dont own a charge and play and dont plan on buying one
I am saying the PS3 comes with this standard out of the box

not to mention other companies do it for free already
the wii now comes with motion plus out of the box why hasnt microsoft put the charge and play with the system out of the box with the wireless controllers

Other companies give you rechargeable batteries and a charger for free? What does Wii motion plus have to do with anything? I would rather avoid the play and charge kit what a waste of money. For $15-20 you can have four rechargeable batteries and a charger without needing to have to deal with a wire. I never understood why people bought that.
the worst flaw to me is a collection of cheaply made products. The headsets are ridiculously cheap and brittle, the controllers die to quickly even with the rechargeable battery packs, and just how easy it is to accidentally knock it so slightly yet it will chew up your disc inside.

No, the ps3 wireless controller has a built in battery and comes with a cord so that you can just plug it in and charge straight of the box for no extra cost to the consumer.
The wii motion plus is an example of another company correcting its mistakes and charging people for something that should have came with the console. If you need an extra item to plug into a controller to make it recognize the controller better it should be free.
Nintendo has relized this and made all new systems come with it for free. The play and charge kit was an example of what i dont like about the 360 its the fact i have to buy something extra just to use my wireless controller. I would rather save my money and spend it on something other than a device or devices that should have come standard out of the box or been free now that they have relized their error.
But instead they would rather keep making money off of the charge and play kits. Now if i had to make a choice i would just go down to walmart and get a battery charger and some batteries for cheap but instead i will just keep playing with the wired controllers.
1.I totally understand why they would charge us, after all it is one of their biggest sources of income, I think that it would almost be stupid on their part as a business not to. It is a far better online experience than the other consoles (or edleast I think so).For me it is 2 things

2.Agreed, finally someone else has realized this. I prefer wired controllers myself, saves a ton of money and is much more convenient. They should provide something to help out with the controller situation, its just stupid.
Too many Good games at that, I only have so much money. Every month it seems that there is another game I want.too many games

The red ring of death is a fatal flaw though. I just got my second red ring and it isn't under warranty, so I need to waste $100 to buy something that I own... again.
Not sure I am going to do it. If I do anything it definitely won't involve Microsoft's repair "service".
the people who play on it! *ba dum tish*
subscription and no charger etc. are not flaws to me.
Subscription gives the 360 the best online of any console, and no charger + wifi etc. reduced the initial release price when the xbox came out.
I don't want to get everything when I buy the console, because that will make it a large lump sum. I'm fine with getting the basics, then getting the charge kit, and the wifi etc. when/if I need it.
I really dislike the fact that my xbox generates enough heat to turn my room into an oven. Still when it starts to really bother me I can just open a window :)

#1 loud fan

#3 $50 to play online
#4 XBL connection problems
xboxmad12
ive never had xbox live connection problems and the new 360's dont have loud fans
I completely forgot the xbox had a loud fan, I wear my turtle beaches so much and they make it completely inaudiblecostly peripherals. Finally the xbox comes with built in wi-fi, before it cost an extra 100. original hard drive was 20 gb which after the operating system and hexic was surprisingly full, so there's another upgrade if you want more space. These things were fixed, but for a while was really expensive to have an optimal xbox.
The d pad is shocking
The fact I can't open the disk tray without getting up but I can close it
The fact i cannot use another HD and the Xbox ones are so over priced
But i like LIVE I dont mind paying for it ... I have used PSN and it is poor in comparision ... party chat and cross game party chat is something you really do miss ... I'm more than happy with the service esp seeing as the price hasn't gone up in all this time :)

i agree, my battery lasts for up to a month if you buy a good brand like Duracell or energizer The company Energizer actually made the battery packs. They are specialized to last longer.you can close AND open the tray using the gamepad alone, i don't know how you have 50,000 plus GS without knowing that?....The d pad is shocking

59000 GS.someone has alot of time on their hands. ;)
1) The inability to let us download content while playing single player portions of games.
2) Xbox Live fee in order to play online.
3) Inability of using external hard drives for game storage.
4) No wifi built in from the start. $80 to obtain this feature that even handheld consoles have is just ridiculous.
Will update this list as I see fit.
well i have several
1. EVERY peripheral i buy messes up
2. overpriced HDD, i was stuck for a while because my original 20gb failed and wasnt covered by microsoft, then i had to drop 108 dollars to get a 60gb go m amazon and i can get 1 TB
3. bought the play and chrage kit because my wired controller had messed up after a year, and it hasnt even been a year since i bought my play and charge and the charge wont hold for long(i am a college student so i dont play ridiculous amounts of hours on it, so i get pissed when the charge holds for like 5 hrs and i have to spend 2 hrs recharging it.)
4.DLC costs way too much. You cant justify a tag price of 5 dollars for a crappy shirt and pants for my avatar
5. not many free things. makes me wonder why microsoft has to be greedy and not give me some of my 50 i pay yearly back.
6. if i move my xbox my disc is demolished
7.controllers way overpriced and mess up alos *note i take very good care of my system and games because i have to pay for them, all my discs and controllers are in pristine condition, but the controllers always mess up

maybe this was different at some point in time but if i'm correct every 360 comes with a ONE controller which just so happens to be wireless. So in that sense, wouldn't that mean at some point you went on and BOUGHT a wired controller for around 15 bucks when you could've got two rechargable batteries for 10.

I know that most games forbid it. Though I'm interested if that feature's overridable. Anyone know? A lot of us will be grateful for it.

Not to mention the cord that comes with the PS3 is friggen' awful. It's about four feet long, so unless you have the system directly at your feet, you can't really play while it charges. I just assume spend the $10 for the extra cord for the 360, which is long enough that you can play while it charges.
My only complaint is the cost of everything on the marketplace. I can photoshop an image in 15 seconds and make a decent looking "gamer picture" on a PC. To pay money for the same thing on the xbox marketplace seems a little silly. I would have liked it if they continued updating avatar clothes instead of charging for individual pieces. I feel like I'm paying a fee for a service that should include that already. But it's only a small complaint. I much prefer XBL to any other online gaming service I use, except maybe Steam.
