I forgot to mention how flimsy the controllers are. They break so easily, you drop them once and the analog or the bumpers don't work, that's ridiculous and unacceptable. I could slam my ps2 controllers on the floor over and over and they would not break, I have dropped those things a lot and they still work perfect. I got a 360 controller on my birthday and when I opened my package it just broke.By the way I take very good care of my stuff, I am not rough with them at all.

2. The wireless controllers, the wireless PS3 controllers come with a cord and you can just plug the cord in and charge the controller whenever the battery runs dead. I do not want to spend an extra 20 dollars just to do this with my xbox controllers so i stick with wired controllers and sometimes i will use my wireless if i feel like wasting batteries.

Other than those 2 things i say it is a perfect experience for me anyways.

ramswo18

maybe this was different at some point in time but if i'm correct every 360 comes with a ONE controller which just so happens to be wireless. So in that sense, wouldn't that mean at some point you went on and BOUGHT a wired controller for around 15 bucks when you could've got two rechargable batteries for 10.

well you are mistaken only the newer consoles come with wireless controllers

The only problem I have is the fact that you have to buy gold for every account on your system, it really should be 50$ for the 4 accounts on your X-box not 200$ for the 4.

I have never had a problem with my batteries and well I only seem to have to charge them about every other month or so. I bought a 4 energizer + charge at save-martone day (heck about a year before I bought an X-box) for my digital camera only was about 8 or 9$ bucks great for the price.

For me it is 2 things

1. They charge you to play online although the quality of service is better they are a huge company and can prolly let us use the service for free.

ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ

The company Energizer actually made the battery packs. They are specialized to last longer.

Its not about them lasting longer or anything of that nature i dont own a charge and play and dont plan on buying one

I am saying the PS3 comes with this standard out of the box

I use rechargables, so no waste of batteries. Well my only complaint is people hacking into accounts. "Recently, there have been reports of fraudulent activity and account theft taking place on the Xbox Live network," a Microsoft representative said in a statement provided to CNET News.com. "Security is a top priority for Xbox Live, and we are actively investigating all reports of fraudulent behavior and theft."

Agreed, even though my subconsciousness (typo?) always tells me that the RRoD could appear at any moment. Say, if I were to get the RRoD, how long would it take to get my console back from repair?

Come on dude use your brain before you quote someone, he obviously means Microsoft giving the entireconsole live, so that his brothers/dad or whatever can play on online and get there own seperate profile and get their OWN achievements, etc...without needing to pay 50 a person. Xbox Live guest is pretty meaningless in that you can't make progress yourself.

But main flaws gotta be the lack of online split-screen games or split-screen games as a whole. Once you get past Halo, there is almost no games that support it...But I guess thats what Wii is for.

Also, as many have said, the hardware is complete **** nintendo 64 fell of my dressor and onto the floor soo many times because people going by would trip on the wires, that happens once to your 360 and its done.

Lastly, DLC is unfair in games like Halo that don't allow to enjoy games that you payed for without paying more cash

Really it broke that easily? I have had three Xbox 360 controllers and only one broke but that was because I would drop it or throw it sometimes. It took it about 17 months before it was barely usable and my new ones work perfectly after around 9 months. You must just have really bad luck because I have never heard about them breaking so easily.

I'm well aware of that, but if you want to play on line and you wife, room-mate, or other that lives with you wants to play online as well they need there own accounts. sorry I didn't clarify that I was talking about online play but it was overly obvious that I was not talking about offline (hence the reference to gold).

Very true, didn't even think of that. That's one of the main reasons I do not have Xbox Live, I do not want to deal with the idiots. Whenever I visit someone's house and play Xbox Live it sucks because I always end up getting yelled at, called a *********** ***** ****, and threatened by some jerk on there. Although I can't just complain because I have met a few good people:)

The 360's worst flaw is that for some games, you need to be online to play the dlc. For example, I can't play Mass Effect or Dragon Age content UNLESS I am online. I hate that fact! All my Oblivion, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age content is worthless unless I have it connected to xbox live. Also, I'm not a big fan of having my arcade games downgraded to trials even though I bought the game

Old models not having HDMI, Loud noise, disc tray, RROD? DUH :P , and the material used to construct it is cheap. Xbox Live 1-year subscription is reasonably priced but why charge us more if we want to pay month by month? Some of us might have to stop gaming and we dont necessarily want to buy the entire year. And if we buy it month by month.. we get charged more. Like I said, the annual subscription is very reasonable seeing as how I played World of Warcraft back in the days for $15/mo.. but the month by month and 3 month subscriptions suck.

the worst flaw to me is a collection of cheaply made products. The headsets are ridiculously cheap and brittle, the controllers die to quickly even with the rechargeable battery packs, and just how easy it is to accidentally knock it so slightly yet it will chew up your disc inside.

HaDoKeN_NaTe
Have to agree regarding the headsets. I've had to replace mine every few months, because it's so fragile.

Old models not having HDMI support. goki1012
This! I use a HDMI cable for my cable box & PS3 - wish I could do the same for my 360. I refuse to purchase a newer model unless my current console gives in for a third time, but then again, if it RROD again, I will stick with the other console. With that said, I also believe RROD is one of 360's worst flaws.

I've played some 300-400 hours on my XBox and I have yet to find a significant flaw. One thing that bugged me was that my (wireless) controller would shut off if it vibrated, and that didn't make any sense to me. Regardless, I shut off the vibration and I haven't had a problem since. And I guess having wi-fi not included is annoying, but I see they fixed it with the new one....except that I'm not paying another few hundred dollars to get a new XBox when my current works PERFECTLY

Going through the Xbox guide menu in games. It just seems to take so long going to invite your friends to private chat and games.

1. You have to pay for pretty much everything (online, games, arcade games, indie games, themes, gamerpics, most DLC, etc.)

2. Way too freaking loud with certain games (not everyone has a new 360)

3. Barely any good Co-Op games

4. Most of the great games are shooters (Gears of War, Halo, COD, GTA, Battlefield, even ME2 was more shooting than RPG stuff, etc.)

5. Not a big enough default harddrive

6. Micro$oft wanting to charge for stuff that the developers want to release for free

BS. You have to be the biggest fanboy ever to not admit that there are flaws with the 360, as there is with everything else in the world pretty much.
