I guess Dead Space. Also, when I played HL2 the first time, I thought the running 'crab-zombies were spooky.

Most definitely the most scared on edge moment of my video gaming life was when I fought Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear solid for the PS2. First he instructs me to leav me controller on the floor and then he moves the controller with his mind. My controller literally was next to the ps2 and then jumped directly in front of me. I said to myself well that just the nature of the dual shock and smart writing on behalf of the game. But then he told me with his own voice " I can see you like to play NBA Live!!. I was like wtf!! How the hell did this video game character know what the hell game I been playing. I almost turned the game off quick. It took me a while to realize that nba live at the time was a game made by konami which also makes metal gear. Therefore they just read me memory card.

Both from Dead Space: When the Regenerater was even in the same room with me.

And I think it was in chapter 5 when you first get access to the elevator on the bridge and I heard that scream, I didn't want to leave that elevator, lol.

lmfao. the same goes for me. when you rearrange the cubes to get to the back of the room to get the nav card and it chases you. it was SO freaked out!

Hehe, I managed to trap the regenerator behind the cubes. I actually surprised myself when I realized I had trapped him.

The cradle mission in Thief: Deadly Shadows. I have yet to play a game or watch a movie that freaked me out as much as the cradle mission.

That said, condemned, FEAR, FEAR 2, and to a lesser extent Dead Space were pretty scary games.

Resident Evil (remake) in several moments, like everytime a Hunter appeared, when you get the shotgun from the small room, those corners where you can't see **** but you know there's a zombie (real zombies ahem.. RE5) and you got no health and only 8 bullets, and those damn dogs (yes, the one that breaks the window)etc..

I was playing Fallout 3 yesterday and a Yao Guai (is the spelling right?) made me jump on the Yao Guai tunnels, I thought I had killed them all and was exploring (no light, volume up), he jumped right in front of me. Although most of them just attack without thinking, others are pretty smart.

In Dead Space when you are being chased by that regenerating necromorph. The mood eventually died down after a while because it took me like 20min to figure out that you have to burn him with the engines, so i just got bored of that part.

Seems like everyone has the same ones :/.

Am i the only one that found that drill scene in the darkness unbearably intense?

Nah man, I thought that part was messed up too. I really believed I was going to die.

A intense moment for me is when I was playing Twisted Metal: Black Co-Op with one of my friends. We were trying to take out Minion, a creepy looking demon driver, when we finally managed to take out his shield we were both so close to dying. We barely managed to kill him, and then we both sat there in shock for a few moments, surprised we actually did it. We replayed that part so much that we thought it was impossible.

fallout 3 first time i fought a deathclaw.

bioshock, when you see the splicers go after the little girl for the first time through glass in some room, and then a big daddy shows up and shuts them the hell down, i was scared. also when you see dr. steinman pounding on the corpse and cutting it while hes saying that he can't make anyone perfect is just...haunting.

the original halo (and best one) seein flood for first time, and also seeing captain keyes as a huge fat flood thing.

The beginning of Odd World Abe's Oddysee, when they find out they would be the new meat.

I found myself on the edge of my seat every time i fought a boss in Shadow of the Colossus for ps2. Those bosses were so intimidating and it was so satisfying to take them down. That game was so intense and i loved every minute of it.

Max Payne for Xbox, the first one. It was so long ago i cant remember the level, but they had just taken your wife and baby, and you have to enter the kidnappers mansion. you walk into a black room and the door slams behind you, all of the sudden a green blood path lays out before you and the room becomes like miles long. all you hear is your babies cry's and your wife's screams coming ominously through your speakers. You then have to move around the room. I was probably 10 and my brother was like 13. and we both looked at eachother when somehow i died, and both agreed to never put the game back in the harddrive. ... i had nightmares, and i havent ever had nightmares before or since. holy crap it was scary, im almost in tears right now im so freaked out from the memory lol. for real

The most scariest moments I had was: Undying, jeez that game freaked the crap outta me. FEAR (The visual parts when you go up the stairs and the walls break apart scared the crap outta me as I had the volume quite high on a 5.1 system) Doom3 some really freaky moments. Resident Evil 2 ( when you enter the door with the camera pointed to the window and you see that create on the window dissapearing and when you keep walking it cracks through the window, that actually made me falling of my chair and cracked my seat.

The Fatal Frame games always made me a bit scared since I always played them in the dark.

For 360 I'm going to have to go with Condemned and the mannequins in the game.

The first silent hill back on playstation got me freaked out as well, even the new psp version which I think is the door is also pretty pretty nice some nice moments in there. Silent Hill has been a favorite horror game for me, but the movie was not that great.

Bioshock the eerieness of that game is so unsettling at times. Lisa Trevor in REmake the noise of the chains and screams. But how could you forget the stalking antics of Nemesis in RE3. The game changed everytime you played it you thought "ahh he comes out here" and he doesnt so you venture on to bump into him in a little office with no where to run.

Alien trilogy, the first Silent Hill, the Resident Evil remake, Bioshock, Deadspace and the Berseker moment in Gears 1 are probably my most scared/nervous/on the edge of your seat moment in a game ever. Unforgettable..

Silent Hill Homecoming when you had to walk around that hotel with all of the nurses and that dam smoker
