Sidewinder88 - cause i was born in 1988 and when i was trying to sign up for Planetside all my usual tags were taken, i looked around for insperation saw a microsoft sidewinder controller and it became my tag. My 360 tag is a differant story though, i was really (and i still am) into anime, so i was getting used to japanese words, my favourite being "Ikasu" meaning "cool" hence "IkasuKiller" or "Cool Killer"

XHEROIC SPARTAN it came from halo 1 halo 2 and halo 3 because of the masterchief and also the refrences to the spartans in 300 i thought it would be cool because spartans never surrender or back down and i dont either so its a good fit.
Platt numb -There's a movie in high school all my friends watch called half free half slave. It was a movie about slaves traders that would drug northern blacks to bring them to the south to become a slave. They named the main slave platt. My friends started to call me that and it kinda stuck. I used it for unreal 2 as a user name. Someone asked me what my name meant and before I could respond another player said "it stands for platinum idoit". Of course I agreed with the guy so i went by that name. I put my own spin on it turning platinum in platt numb. That is the epic story of platt numb.
xCHILDExROLANDx: Mine is from the inspiration of Steven Kings series The Dark Tower. Which is an awesome series of books by the way. Childe means an unproven knight that is training to become an knight, and Roland is the main character in the books.
Eddy FIN, Eddy has been my nickname since I were 2 feet tall. I really like it and I try to go by just as Eddy everywhere I can. The reason my GT has "FIN" in it is because I'm from Finland. I tried to put just Eddy as my GT but it didn't accept it. So I decided to put FIN there. It instantly tells where I'm from and it saved me from putting numbers or X's in my tag. I think my GT could be more original, but then again I like its simplicity.
Btw, I've also read "The Dark Tower" and liked it. :)
Great post! I was wondering if I'd ever have to explain mine. et is from my initials, not the extraterrestrial. Maul is from the Star Wars character, Darth Maul. I'm a big Star Wars fan so when Phantom Menace came out, I also needed a new email address name so I figured "etmaul" would suit me just well. I've come to find that it's a very rare tag among all forums and gamertags so I suppose I'm lucky that I don't have to have four or five numbers after my tag.
