when my rockband drums werent registering one day, instead of hitting the drums i slapped the 360. yeah i didnt hit it cuz i thought it might break it, so i just slapped it, haha.
oh and one time i went to turn off my 360 and i had static and it shocked me when i touched it and it turned off on its own. really weird, but no serious damage...that i know of xD
lol nice things here
my friend noticed that the green light on power supply stays green for a few sec after the 360 is off so we tried seeing if it stayed on, my friend unpluges it i turn on the 360 it stayed on for a second.... the next day i got the rrod :P
but i did play games and watch 2 dvds...
About a year ago I had it on the floor and accidently kicked it. It busted off the faceplate and broke one of the memory card face pieces and it sounds like something is rattling inside of it. I've had it for almost 2 years now and just got the RROD a couple days ago.
One night I was playing Gears of War and I put my feet up on the desk, right next to my standing(vertical) Xbox 360. So, I was ready getting ready to put my feet down but clumsy me knocked the 360 and it rocked just a bit. By the time I could reach for my box to hold it steady, I heard a grinding sound from inside. Youch.. What do you know? My Gears of War game ended up getting scratched, and unreadable. What was worst were the thoughts going through my mind. I thought my 360 was a goner. The grinding noise sounded so bad, I thought the lens inside the system was damaged. But luckily for me, it was still able to play other games, so I knew it was going to be okay. This isnt brutal as what other people did to their systems. But it would have been pretty brutal if the lens were actually damaged. Thanks for reading.
I just got my 360 replaced from the RROD, two days later my 2 year old nephew picked it up and threw it. my wife who was supposed to be watching him just let it happen. the funny thing after being thrown not droped, it still worked for 6 months until I got the rrod again.
To people who have their 360's vertically, I wouldn't have it that way because it could fall over and if their is a game inside and you move or touch it, you could cause bad damage to your disc. It's better to keep it horizontal.
threw my broken one out the window got really wound up bought a new workin fine hope it stays that wayleesius
That's hella funny.

mortzilla3
Mine has been vertical since launch, and it has never fallen over. If you leave it alone it will be fine. If you knock it over it shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Got pissed off at pro evo 6 online and kicked it. Started making really strange noises (like the disc was spinning and getting scratched) so I turned it off. No damage to the disc or 360.
And I once threw a controller out of a window after getting pissed off at NBA Street Homecourt. Thing is, it was at a friends house and I was playing his game, with his controller and his 360. Had to give him one of mine
