Whats wrong? (Warning 3 RED lights involved)

May peace be upon u all !

The thing is that i have an xbox 360. It played well for the first few months but now it just turns off all by itself while i m playing it and it shows three red lights on the front panel but then when i restart it it works fine but then again the same thing happens can some body tell me whats wrong?

Your xbox may be showing early signs of hardware failure or your av cables may not be plugged in securely. Try taking the HDD off and playing it. If all else fails fear not you have a 3 year warranty!

i dont want to stay weeks deprived from 360 gamin that would be awfull is it really an early sign of 360 death??

If you checked that your power cables are well connected, and still get the 3 red lights yes it probably is. It goes really fast after you get problems. My friend called me over because his Xbox started getting checkboard pixels all over the screen, and not 5 minutes later when i was there it gave up and got red lights. Sorry but you probably will have to wait a while!

It doesnt mean its always dead... iv gotten the red lights a few times (and i have a launch system) but it's always cleared up after a few restarts or a few days.

It has been over 5 weeks since I first made the phonecall and I still haven't gotten my 360 back from getting repaired. As a matter of fact, they didn't know where it was last time I called.
