Someone from the team was interviewed in a previous Game Informer magazine and he said the next game wouldn't come around for a long time. They are going back to the drawing board and are trying to reinvent the series. I'd say when the next gen consoles launch.

I'm sorry, but they say we may not see Wesker in a future RE title. Also I've heard rumours of a reboot. Back to the original zombies anyone?
To my knowledge, it has been rumored that the next RE(6) will be more like Resident Evil 1. So possibly no more crazy zombies, and normal ones that moan around the corners like the good old days.
