LOL, that's awesome! I love that xfan-atic.
Okay, so it was a little harsh... and knowing, and in turn, understanding FLCL takes some new kind of thought process still yet to be fully recognized, but I'm sorry, this guy's original post was just waay~ too... umm... is there even a description for it? It's not really out of order, because I'm not sure there is one... and it's not misunderstood... because there's almost nothing solid here other than a single statement...
Anyway, I hope the HL 2: Episode 3 release will come soon as well, and that it's full of glory and awesomeness... and more Alyx Vance...
Didn't Valve announce they were doing Episode 3, and that it would be available for digital download for all 3 systems its on, from Steam, to XLM, to PSN? I'm not sure if that's true or not, but a friend of mine whose a HL nut said that's what they had announced.
to be honest with you i dont think there will be an episode 3...my theory is that Valve will make a full final game for half-life not and episodezero0131
That is what I was going to say. If the do make another Half-Life, it should be a completely new game and not just an episode.
What willimate tried to tell is , that he played and finshed episode 1 and 2.
his conclusion wich is still a mistery, that episode 3 could be its final episode in the serie.
so don't be harsh to him if you don't understand him, just try your logical grammar and rephrase his sentence :P
Valve has not announced as to when exactly Episode 3 will be released.
I predict Q4 2008. It will be a must buy for me.
It's taking Valve a while to release these episodes, probably because in each one they include updated versions of Source and its technologies. Episode 1 had updated HDR and lighting effects and probably had updated animations (facial expressions and such). Episode 2 had some new physics and lighting/partical effects added to Source.
So the earliest would probably be this October. But I haven't heard anything about the game yet.
Anyone else find Episode 2 more compelling and fun than Episode 1 and the original HL2 (Episode 1 was OK imo, but loved HL2)?
And yes, Episode 3 will be the final episode

it seem it's easier to be an *** and diss him, then to actually take a second and figure out what he ment.
Half-Life 2 had just a down right great campaign. It was solid, it had a good rhythm to it, it didn't go too fast in some places and too slow in others, it was just great. The only complaint I have about any of the Half-Life games is that the shooting just feels a bit weak. It's not exactly bad, it just doesn't feel as solid as other shooters I've played, but since HL is more of the thinking mans game, then it can be looked past.
HL2: Episode 1 was a bit boring to me. It was almost exactly the same as HL2, only it had more combat, and was much shorter of course. The environments you visited were places you had already seen, and there wasn't anything new at all given. The added play with Alyx was welcomed, as she wasn't tagging along like escort games, but she wasn't dragging you with her either. Not that great, but still solid.
HL2: Episode 2 was great. The environments were new and interesting, the gameplay was familiar, but very different, and several of the scenarios throughout the game just stick out in you head far more than HL2 or HL2:E1. From the underground Lionant battle, to the village shoot-out, to the forest battle taking down the huge walking things I've forgotten the name of. I really enjoyed it. Oh, and the ending was actually... heart-tugging.
