its not gonna be near a computer but i do have a good wireless modem in my house how should i go about this how do i use my modem

Get the wireless adapter. It's way overpriced at $99 but it's worth it.

Plug it in with a ethernet cable if you can, but if not then get the adapter.

skip the wireless adapter at 99 and get a wireless router thats DD-WRT'able for 30-40. you can put multiple devices on it as well.

If you're that close to the computer just use an ethernet cable to plug into you're router. Unless of course you have money to burn then you can buy one of them fancy doohickies with the wifi.

wow.....K he already said he has the wireless router......He needs the adapter for it to get it going from anywhere in the house, otherwise the point of the wireless router is to just have more then one ethernet plug hitting your internet at one point. Meaning he would need to have his system within reach of an ethernet cord. Luckily for me my uncle hooked me up with a 100ft ethernet cable so i can hit alot of places in my house.
