When to buy?

I currently own a Wii and I like it a lot but I am strongly considering buying a 360 as well. One of my main problems is I am unsure of when to buy it. Will it be too hard to get a hold of one around Christmas, is there still the possibility of another price drop? Or should I just go out and buy one as soon as I can or are there other things I should consider first? Thanks in advance

me too! i have a wii and it's just not good enough. i was considering buying a 360 but i'm waiting till the holiday seasos for a couple of reasons. 1. waiting for the falcon chipset to be used in them. they have good bundles during the holiday season. and also if the 360 arcade comes out i'll be getting that. the 360 arcade is supposed to replace the core.

if sony is dropping the price on Halo day (9/25) or maybe they announce it on the Tokyo Game Show then theres a good chance of a price drop for the 360, just wait till the Tokyo Game Show to see, but having a 360 for the holiday season will keep you busy for a while with the excellent library and the upcoming blockbusters like Halo 3, Ace Combat 6, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4 and a couple more.

I'd wait for a while after the holidays. They're supposed to come out with upgraded consoles that will have HDMI on all the consoles and not just the Elites. Again, I'd wait for those to come out.

I own a wii and it gets no play time, well that is of course until brawl.-_- Anyway, I'm going to getan elite360. My question though is what is this falcon chipset? Should I wait for it?
