That would be nice. I'd be fine with a new Halo if they brought back the Combat Evolved quality. 2 was bad, but 3 was disastorous.

MS already made a dev team (343 Industries) to make future halo games. halo 4, if and when it comes out, will be on the next xbox. still just conjecture but seems logical.

Halo reach=Halo 4 and the last Bungie made Halo game but with the creation of 343 industries it is quite obvious that Microsoft will not let the series rest in peace and that they wanna milk it for all its worthWaffle_Fish

actually, halo: reach is the prequel to halo: ce. it takes place before the events of halo where the planet of reach is invaded by the covenant. this is also where the mjolinar program (spartans) are made. judging from the promo picture bungie made, they are the spartans from the book, 2 female and 3 male. john (the master chief) is one of them.

halo 4 takes place after the events of halo 3 in which he, the humans and the covenant accidently discover lost forerunner technology and are racing to it to turn the human-covenant war in their favor. unfortunately the planet (onyx) has a mind of it's own as it's actually made up of sentinels.

i need to read the books but those are just the basics of the halo story.

more about reach. if you've played the first game and paid attention to the opening cutscene where capt. keyes is talking to cortana, they are talking about how they fled reach. later on, when you have cortana in your suits computer, she says that the elites that hijacked the pillar of autumn where trying to kill the chief in his sleep (possibly because of what's he's done on reach).

Masterchief didn't even take part in the battle on Reach. Theres a good chance he wont be in Halo: Reach at all.

well halo 3 left an oppurtunity of a sequel with its cliff hanger ending ( after credits ) but odst and reach are both prequels so its most likely the chief will return for the other half of what is supposed to be a saga. but not for a few years, wait till bungie realise they need halo cause their new game sells worse than a barbie game.

CoD is the definition of milkage. it's the same game year after year with just a new skin. i stopped playing the series after 4. it was entertaining no doubt, but damn was it ever underwhelming. at least nintendo tries to add something new to every mario game, but not activision.

I beleive Halo 4 will be out next gen xbox because Halo: Reach comes out late 2010. Halo 3 is almost 2 years old and is still the #1 played game on LIVE. Halo: Reach should also have a 2-3 year window until the next gen system in 2013-2014 or so. wouldnt that make sense?
