there is a chain of stores around called the record exchange (look it up and see if there is one near you). i buy most of my games there, because 1. they are much cheaper than gamestop 2. they give you much more store credit than gamestop 3. they are not gamestop and 4. they accept trade on all dvds, cds, and all generation video games. so when i really want a game that i cant afford, i just grab some cds/dvds i havent done much with in the last 9 months and take them in. some examples of the excellent deals i have found- diablo 1 for ps, $15; guilty gear for ps2, $5. cant find those at gamestop. and if i am gonna do any game shopping online, its amazon. they tend to have games pretty cheap most of the time.

Yes, the industry must be dying... oh no...however will it survive? :P [QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

[QUOTE="feryl06"]I usually buy from GS/EB. Never had a problem. [QUOTE="Ellimem"]

If you buy from Gamestop/EB Games you are part of the problem.

No as in "YOU are the problem"

Buying from there does nothing to help keep the industry alive meaning that if you buy your games from those places you are killing the industry

All of the above. I shop around more than I used to. I now tend to look in GAME, HMV (the only two shops that sell games in my town) and on eBay, play.com and amazon.co.uk.

Yea, it's the "retard"s fault that devs make crappy games and try to sell it to the masses. We all know that devs don't do any dirty tricks--yea right. Ever heard of downloadable content for starters? You might as well lump amazon, bestbuy, and other stores in your list of stores since they sell used games as well. Get over your high horses. The devs that survive are the ones that provide great games and not the ones that throw crap out there knowing full well it's crap. [QUOTE="Ellimem"]

It's like people don't understand developers at all. People complain about why sequels to good games aren't made, and you ask if they bought the original and they say, "Yea, I got it used". Retards don't understand that you aren't supporting developers, you are supporting an crappy corporation.

Does no one here not know of the dirty sh** that Gamestop pulls in all of their stores on a regular basis?

YEAH EVERYONE IS RETARDED!!111!!!1ELEVEN!!1! RAWRRRZ!! Seriously dude they are just video games get over it no one cares that you have some twisted view on life and corporations. We go and buy a game whether it be used or not is our choice if a game doesn't get a sequel then it most likely sucked anyway.

I almost always buy from Gamestop. I never buy used. The other percentage goes to Target.

i usually buy my games from gamestop, since that is the closest place to me that carries games. I also get games from best buy and toysrus if they happen to have some good deals.

Wherever there are deals to be had. If there aren't any deals, Gamestop to buy used with my Edge card. I understand buying used is "wrong" and hurts the industry, but its either that or pirate, and at I'm generally above that so I'll keep buying used, thanks.
