Which game has better chances of getting another 10? Gears of war or....

I don't think we'll see another 10 for some time. I think Gears of War will be amazing, and I am playing through Far Cry: Instincts Predator (Which is by no means a great game) to prepare for Far Cry 2 because it looks like the next 'next-gen' experience to me. I have high hopes.

I doubt Gears/CoD will get 10s, but who knows everyone seems pretty excited about Gears (I don't get it, the first is not a spectacular game by any means). I think that Far Cry has a chance because its kind of bringing something new to the table (The AI is said to be ridiculously amazing and the enviroments are completely distructable, also the game area is said to be huge.) I think that Little Big Planet will probably be a shoe-in for a 10. Fallout 3 looks really good but the recent preview said something about some control issues which makes me think it will fall short. Mercs 2 will fall quite short, 8.5 most likely. That new Star Wars game is suppose to be really good.

tl;dr lots of upcoming games will be getting really high scores in my opinion, but probably not many/if any 10s.

I believe out of Gears of War 2 and Far Cry 2 that Far Cry will get a better rating. Only because it seems to be quite different from the game before it, whilst Gears of War seems to be more of the same. That it not at all a bad thing, but in my opinion something needs to be different to what came before it to justify a 9.5 or above.COD4_Shinedown

I'll answer that... GTA SA was one of the sloppiest games (in terms of graphics, controls, mechanics, etc.) ever made with too much world that wasn't used. GTA IV actually played like a real game should... It was good and it had a story worth playing through.

yup I wont discuss it, thats why i am saying it, gears of war one was a sloppy game in MP (host advantage, lag, glitches, etc.)gears of war lacked story, so if they fix it then you know will be kina the same change dont you think?

Look am just gonna say this once and probably cop a whole lot of feedback for it but...Gearas of War 2...hands down...10...I've seen enough already in clips and it's impressiv...whether it may be more of the same as in the 1st one...don't care...as a gamer if u can enjoy the experience and get what you want out of it and what is expected...then it's a 10...this guy who wrote about Mercs 2 who believes it may get a an 8.0 to 8.5...sure it may do that but in my book it's already a 10 cos I know how much I enjoyed the 1st one and the challenge it brought me back then, this one will be better too and I can't wait for it, as for GTA 4 that was also a 10...the reviewer didn't get that wrong at all.taffer2005

GTA SA was a great game. GTA IV is awesome.

I don't think any of those games will get 10s.

Far Cry 2 does look amazing though.

Gears of War 2 has the best chance by far, but I am guessing it will get a 9.5

Far Cry 2 will probably get an 8.5-9.0

COD: WW will probably get an 8.0-8.5

That's just my guess.

All look promising. But will doubtedly get 10. Gears2 in my opinion is going to rape. But probably wont get a 10:(

Except Ocarina of Time which did receive a 10. More than deserved. Sorry, just saying...

But Gears will be close but probably not a 10. I'm gonna venture and say Fable 2 or Fallout 3 will come close as well.

Wrong. There are games that deserve 10's there just really rare. A game doesnt have to be perfect to get a 10 because the fact is thats impossible for a game to deserve a 10 it means that it cant be upgraded in any meaningful way. Its a game that sets a new bar for the genre.

GeOW, i don't know, maybe a 9.5 if anyhting. I say FAR CRY 2 , Fallout 3 or End War. are going to be really close if not 10s. and Star wars the force unleased should get a ten for sure. but only time will tell.
