Mass Effect was flippin' EPIC. I'm so drooling over the second one!... Forza is on standby, GT5 has to be released first in order to declare the winn0rz in that genre.Xbox360 = Lost Odyssey, Orange Box, Forza2 and Mass Effect
PC = Crysis, Stalker, The Witcher and Team Fortress2

fallout was a letdown for me, i guess i was expecting too much after oblivion. but my pics are either mass effect or oblivion.i cant decide which game i like more, there both so amazing
Uncharted 2 is looking like it could be up there for the running... Great Story, Great Graphics, Great Gameplay, Great Voice Acting... Others on my list would be Mass Effect (hopefully Mass Effect 2 will surpass it)... I am hoping that Spinter Cell Conviction will also be up there... the Gameplay looks far beyond that of its past entries and the graphics of Splinter Cell games have always been amazing... That coupled with the fact that in this entry, it isn't the same old cliche "terrorist have bombs and want to destroy the United States" as it has been for all the other Splinter Cells in a way... In this entry, Sam is out for vengence and I am guessing that in some way, that cliche story will be brought in, but it will be clouded by Sam's thirst for revenge and will add emotion to the story...
I'm not sure if i totally agree with the COD4 observation... It's an extremely polished game that brought real competitive gaming to the consoles. Such polished multiplayer was only exclusive to PC gamers. But on the grand scheme, the way I see it COD4 is just another shooter... and an "on rails" one at that. It does get points for making the first real transfer of the PC fps experience to consoles. I finally feel like the experience is not being hindered because the system doesn't support a mouse/keyboard.In the grand scheme of this generation, COD4 had made a huge impact
For me personally, it would be mass effect

I actually agree with you there, COD4 made an impact on consoles but not the "grand scheme of this generation". I gues I wasn't thinking twice when I mentioned that.
I also forgot. and I am ashamed to say this, but World of Warcraft (yes I actually used to play it) had plagued the minds of 11 million. Many people will look back at that game as a huge success because of how many surscibers it has gained, and how that game stayed alive from April 2004 until....well it's stil kicking. I don't know what exactly it did in impacting MMO's in general. I personally wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but it certainly recieved much intention and acclaim as a "masterpiece" would.
