I've heard of Halo 3 and Fable II being bad games to install due to the fact that the performance actually decreases if you do. Are there any other games that is actually makes you worse off to install? Thanks!

Well for me, Fable 2 played great when installed (terribly laggy and constantly accessing the disc otherwise) so not sure that's correct. I know there's no point installing GRID. Codemasters issued a patch that broke the game installation and they didn't bother to fix it.
I did install GTA IV a while back before I got my slim on my old 20 gig HDD. I had more pop-ins than usual. Not sure if it was because my HDD was old or what not. Has anyone had any experience with GTA IV and its expansions?
Fable 2 has no proble. There is no bad game to intsall, all my games are installed to my HDD. Thank god I have 250 GB of memory xD
60 GB could probably be good for installing games. Just save game data on a USB flash drive, and you'll have plenty of room on your HDD. Forget about 20 GB, that HDD is wayyy to small nowadays
[QUOTE="goki1012"]Software can get a firmware update? Firmware is hardware specific, no? Ok that was a mistake on my part. So, it's not the firmware. However, I installed Halo games and had no problem.HALO 3 HAS NEW FIRMWARE! 1.2, i.e. So installing Halo 3 won't be a problem (I did and had no problem whatsoever)

In collecting some data (definitely not scientific, but worth a shot :P). What version of HDD that ran GTA IV? I had issues on my 20 gig but some people with newer drives (60, 120 - haven't heard from 250) said they saw no issues. Thanks :)

20 GB of HDD is a fail. You can use a 16 GB USB flash drive on your Xbox 360 xD Get at least 60 GB I'd say.In collecting some data (definitely not scientific, but worth a shot :P). I just got my 250 slim today so I'm good on space now. :)
I was just talking about a couple years ago when I installed GTA IV that I had worse performance with the pop-ins, but I need to try it on my newer HDD and see if it works any better.
Installed GTA IV to HDD and have been playing for about 15-20 minutes. Started off very well with zero noticeable pop-ins. However, once I racked up 3 stars and was trying to out run the cops in one of the faster cars, I started to notice the street details began to fade and a few bushes in the median took a second or two to pop-up. So far a vast improvement over my other experiences with my 20 gig years ago where walls would not appear until you have already crashed into them. :(
Once the copter and more police cars were on my tail, I began to notice a drop in frame rate, however, does seem worse than normal but still playable IMO.
I will begin to play some more drug wars and see if my feeling on having this game installed changes, but for now, I would say GTA IV is a great game to install. :)
This is again probably due to the fact that GTA IV was developed before the "install to hard drive" feature was availableInstalled GTA IV to HDD and have been playing for about 15-20 minutes.
