Im going to be getting xbox live soon and i cant decide which shooter i should get. Halo 3 or Gears of War. Ive played gears online and i had a lot of fun on that,and i don't want to get Halo3 because i haven't played the halo 1 or 2 campaign and im afraid that i wont be able to understand what is going on in the 3rd campaign and i just don't want to spend on the older games just so i can understand the story. On the other hand since gears is the first of possibly a whole series ill be able to start fresh and follow along with the story as the games come out. i would appreciate your opinions
Halo has alot more multiplayer modes then gears. Gears is a great game but I personally would go with Halo 3 or COD4. Also look into the Orange Box because Half Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress is a great deal for $60.
im leaning towards gears. the lancers chainsaw calls to me, and im definetly not getting cod4; i dont reallylike those kinds of shooters. im more of a gore filled sci-fi kinda guy
ive heard that but if im going to get a game its not going to be just for the multiplayer, and like i said i cant keep up with the halo storyline because i havent played the other campaigns
get orange box. 3 different shooters in there. U have half life 2 with all the episodes , portal which is soo funny its worth 60 bucks alone, and tf2 which is a awsome team element game
Gears is a solid choice, but you should know that since Halo 3, The Orange Box, and Call Of Duty 4 have come out the multiplayer community has started to die. You can still find games but there are a lot less people playing.
Get gears of war. Yeah community is dying out a little on it these days, but its been out a hell of alot longer than COD 4 and Halo 3 and such games. People will come back to it. And theres enough on there anyway, Plus this will set you up for Gears war 2, should be coming next christmas.
from what ur saying i think u should get gears. i think u no that already. when ever someone says halo 3 u always say that u wont fllow the story. i dont see y ur having troubel deciding. u obviously want gears. but thats a great choice. gears has a great single player and a good online. if u were gonna get one of these games for just online u should get halo 3, it has one of the best multiplayers out there for the 360. but u are going to be playing single player so go w/ gears.
