I've never been a fan of the COD series so I might be biased but I'm gonna have to see a whole lot more before I start hyping the game. It does get props for moving the setting into the modern world.
the first impressions from the beta was like "ZOMG!!" but after playing it for like almost a week.....meh, its basically cod2 with bells and whistles. the game wont have the legs like halo3 will have. im already tired of the beta, and after you play in the highest level, it basically becomes who can spawn camp each other first. and the game encourages camping.
i'm not at all interested in it, and i never saw what the big deal was ever. ppl act as if because it's in modern times it makes it innovative or somthing, but realy it's nothing to wet yer pants over. i don't even think the graphics look all that good to be totaly honest.
the call of duty 4 beta is the best multiplayer i've played yet, the full game is going to be better still. i seriously think this game will give halo3 a run for it's money for online popularity.
I was excited for it untill I played the Beta. Heck, the sounds are still alot alike to CoD2. It's like playing CoD2 with a Modern Skin Patch. Seems to be too focused on who spawns who. I mean, I can get MVP almost every dang time and I'm STILL Bored. Hope they fix alot of the problems.
it seems that the problem from cod2 of ppl sitting on rooftops w/ sniper rifels spawn killing ppl is still there. and that the ppl who do that think it's the most amazing game ever.
my kill to death ratio on the beta is nearly 1.5 and i usuallyhavethe most points andi NEVER spawn camp, ever. what's more, i wouldn't say that's any more prevalent in this game than in any other fps.
plus it doesnt have any cool weapons, or vehiles..and i reaqlly still cant understand why its being hyped more than halo...and to the guy that asked me wheter i played the COD4 beta..yes and im not impressed, also the graphics really arent that great....seems like bad games are being hyped a lot these day...

sure its not as great as Halo 3 will be, but im still buying it. Have you played the beta? it only has 3 maps, and im not even getting bored of it after 5 days or so..
Dude this game is awesome. Teamwork seems to be essential especially in domination and the one with the bomb. The guns and explosions sound amazing. The perks system is balanced and it's great fun killing someone in last stand. It's intense and graphically amazing. I love how you have to adjust your eyes when going from inside to outiside and vice-versa. I cannot wait to play the single player and the full multiplayer. A must buy for shooter fans.Â

well hey now dude what the #$@& kinda poll is that where it has 2 choices and one says ITS BETTER THAN HALO. and one says ITS A RENTAL. well what if you DONT think its better than halo 3 but you still think its gonna be good??? anyways, i wasnt so sure about CoD4 when i heard about it on attack of the show that it was gonna be all "modern warfare" and stuff, i didnt know what to think since the CoD series is a world war shooter... and to the "modern warfare" thing, thats why we have BF2 modern combat... and yeah, anyways after hearing the reviews of ppl from the beta version this game is definetly a buy... BUT NOT BETTER THAN HALO 3 :P

The multiplayer portion is better than Halo 3 so far. I love realistic war games and yes, I love Halo 3 also but I found CoD4 to be more fun. I rarely played Halo 2 online so I doubt Ill play Halo 3 much. I only ever played if someone invited me and I didnt get alot of invites for that game lol. Halo 3 will prolly be played alot but I still think CoD4 MP will be better. Halo integrates the weapons, story, and vehicles into 1 fantastic formula and I will be playing the single player alot. CoD4 is just flat out fun. Halo 3 single player will beat CoD4 no doubt IMO.

thats not in the final game, they put that in the H3 beta on perpose just to see how ppl would react.
After reading al these peoples talk about the beta and them making it sound amazing..i was excited but then when i played the beta i was in no way floored or brought to all these crazy accusations i heard people claiming its the best FPS ever or any of that. Sure its lots of fun but it jsut felt like CoD2 but more advanced to me. It was lots of fun and id love to own the game since well CoD games are always good and fun. But better then Halo 3? No way. My one complaint about the beta besides to stupid people camping on rooftops is that the level cap was at 11. What is that? You can get to level 11 in like 3 hours.

sorry abt the poll thing..its just that a lot of people are saying its better than halo and the best FPS to hit 360 and stuff..thats why i was paying more attention to my first choice on the poll...forgot abt the in between choice....but yeh my main goal was t figure out why it was better than halo 3..since i wasnt seeing it to be better....

Why do you think the COD4 multiplayer will be better...im not judging you based on your opinion..i just want to figure out for myself, why i cant see COD4 as being an amazin multiplayer experience....what elemnts of COD4 are better than halo?
me looks pretty good but probaly not better than Halo 3 will be. But if it did become more popular it wouldnt be such a bad thing since it might take annoying little kids of of Halo. Cus that is my one main dislike about Halo online.

Some people are fanboys in the worst way. If the game aint halo they try to take a hefty poo on it. COD4 is amazing and will be a system seller for people who dont like halo. Take that and swallow it Halo goons. I like halo myself but,,,,,

First off, I played both beta versions of the games and COD4 and Halo 3 are two completely different FPS with different fast paced MP experiences. Cody4 is defintely not like other COD games and should be a whole new series all on its own. If you like the fast paced modern feel of FPS, you'll love COD4 with its good graphics, customizale classes, and most of all, realistic good fun. On the other hand, the Halo 3 Beta was a futeristic fast paced FPS with vehicles installments that made it even faster faced, especially with the new mongoose. Either way, both games are MUST haves for FPS fans no matter what you like better. ---ticketede bomb

Thank you ..this is the answer i was looking for..well sort of but its the closest...and to the guys that think im a halo fanboy..im not, i just merely wanted to know why COD4 was being hyped so much as the previous installments (all of which i played) werent. They were ok shooters, didnt like the setting too much..but yeh im not a fanboy, i love anything on the wii and 360...
