Having a party on the 25th, its my brothers birthday. Halo3 is guaranteed to show up on the 25th at my door, that's why I Pre-ordered cause waiting for halo 2 wasa hassle.
I'm gonna show up at walmarton monday night, prob around 7 or 8, chill for a few hours and hopefully be close to the front of the line! Definitely gettin' it at midnight.
I live in Mexico, right on the border, so i have to drive 30 minutes to mcallen, texas (land of the red rings of death) to buy my copy of Halo 3, i already have the Legendary payed for at gamestop, so its midnight launch for me, ill take my zune tokeep me company =P
I have never been to a midnight launch, forHalo 2or any other game for the same reason some of you guys gave - the wait and the hassle at 12:00am.
With that said, I payed off my Legendary edition and I am concerned, especially with this game, that it might get sold to someone else that night or that day if I don't pick it up. It also helps that my Gamestop said there was only about 200 pre-orders but the Assistant Manager said that a lot of people he talked to were not going to the midnight launch. I guess I will have the pleasure/misfortune of finding out.
I'm not going to get a copy for myself until christmas. However, I preordered one for my brother for his birthday. The problem lies in the fact that the EB where I preordered it has over 400 preorders. Because of this, I'm going to have to go to the midnight launch in order to be sure that I'll get a copy. In case anybody doesn't know, 90% of what EB/Gamestop tells the customer is bullcrap. There is no guarantee that if I go the following day instead of midnight that my reserved copy will be there. They could easily pull that crap where they say their shipments were cut and they weren't able to fill all their preorders, which they do a lot. So I am really not looking forward to standing in line outside EB games for who knows how long after I get off work in an attempt to get a copy.
Wow, you guys are lucky compared to my store. I live in the UCF Orlando area and my Gamestop has 1400 preorders. The leading Halo 3 preorder GS in the country. I think I may kill myself.BeErBOnG29

Im not, my brother's picking it up for me when he gets home from school. Still, im kinda pissed cause on the 25th, i have a track meet, then confirmation that night. And i gotta get my homework done. And i gotta wake up at 6. am the next day. Looks like im not getting my hands on it till that Saturday.
3. and I already pre-ordered it at Gamestop, so I'm just going to go in there after school and play Halo 3 for a couple hours until I have to go to work.
The pre-launch party Microsoft threw was awesome. I walked away with some great swag and won a Halo 3 Sweda watch. With the watch they gave a little Halo 3 figure, about 2 inches tall but missing his back foot!
The game was cool, I liked some of the guns and the multi play looked neat too.
