Dont skip school, you need your education. While I love games with a passion, waiting in line and skipping school is a stupid choice. But on the other hand, if you're in college, you can easily get away with it once in a while. But if you're in High School, its not a smart choice. Except for us kids that are smart enought to actually keep our grades high enought that as long as I dont have an exam on that day I can skip it no sweat, got parents to excuse me for the day so Yeah ill be playing Halo3 before all those school going fools.
I am not skipping work because I like money. But you can rest assured the next day at work they are going to be hard pressed to keep me awake, because I don't plan on sleeping that night.
Why on earth would anyone wait in line at midnight for the game. Just reserve the damn thing and pick it up first thing in the morning. I am definitely going to get the game the day it comes out, but there is no way I am getting in line and waiting before it even comes out. All I know is that EB better deliver on my legendary edition pre order.
i'm a bit too old for school, and i'm not skipping work. i'm more interest in the single player, and once i have the disk i can put it in at my lesier. halo will work on my scheduel. if i skip work i skip money, and a halo3 disk isn't going to do me a heck of a lot of good if the electricity gets turned off. will i enjoy the game to the fullest? absolutly, but on my scheduel. ya gotta have your priorties right. and skipping means not going in when you are suposed to be there, we know far enough in advance to ask for the day off from work if it's that important to us. then it's not skipping, it your day off.
Ha! With all due respect, both of the first Halos were excellent games that definitely make my list of favorites, but Halo 3 just doesn't have me as excited as Halo 2 did. The gameplay does not seem to be as big a step up from two as two was from one, and I don't want to pay for xbox live. In the interest of money, I am one of the few people who cancelled a Halo 3 preorder and intend to pick it up at a later date (perhaps even months later *gasp*). I'll just have to busy myself with Assassin's Creed, Guitar Hero 3, and Rock Band during the autumn months.
well i wont miss work if i am scheduled to work that day, besides i have ordered my halo3 collectors edtition off of amazon.com. and will be getting mine a few days after the 25th, but im glad i dont have to fight the trafic or the crowds to get it, i remember how halo2 was and this is going to be twice as bad.
but i am taking off august 2nd and 3rd to go see Dream Theater in Dallas.
If I were in like 9th grade or lower, or college I would probably go out and skip school for H3. However, I'm taking 3 AP classes and will be a junior in high school, and value my education much more than a video game that can wait a few hours. People in HS that skip for video games are idiots. Period.
Some of you School Nerds think that theres going to be available copies of Halo 3 after Schools over with that day. It's not. Halo 2 in my town was sold out until March of 2005 and my town only has about 5000 people in it. Skip school. It's one day of extreme fun by yourself and with your jealous friends online against a boring ass day of school where your yelled at by Adults with nothing to do.
I have this game pre-ordered and waiting for me, that and I plan to hold a small concert for those camping, I must say I hope to be able to skip school, I think I have that day off anyways.
I'm preordering in full so if they have a line I may be able to skip alot of people like they do with the Madden games. I don't think I'm skipping because that's the second week of school for me.

I have skipped weeks inboth school and university (and my job too :D) just to play games and/or date, and it was totally worth it ^__^ !

I'll have to finish Halo 1,2 first to get to know the story. So no. I'll probably buy it about a month later it comes out. It probably won't be sold out by then.

Just leave now...at no point in my entire life have I had a day of school that I learned so much that it would do me great personal damage to never have aquired that knowledge. Anyway,Halo 3 FTW...you can count on me skipping school.
