Why are they showing PC screenshots on console versions of Assassins Creed II?

I'm really looking forward to the game, and I know it will look great, but the screenshots they are showing for the 360 and PS3 versions of Assassin's Creed 2 are obviously from a PC, or have been HEAVILY touched up. Look at how detailed some of the distant architecture and figures look. A console isn't capable of that detail for far away objects. That's some crazy high resolution. How about showing sreens respective of the games platform?

Why would he care that much about supporting a piece of metal?

Because its likely they reduced the 360/PS3 versions' graphics to ensure it runs well.

Assassin's Creed has had a notorious record of under-delivering on hype, so don't buy into that Ubisoft propaganda crap.
