To play music into the microphone on Xbox Live?

It gets extremely annoying. I've heard everything from trombones to rap on there, and its getting old. A microphone is for communication, not playing your annoying rap music and demonstrating to everyone your horrible taste in music.

If it were real music, maybe I wouldn't care so much. But usually its just horrible hip-hop/rap stuff. And new rap at that.

Dude, rap is the worst form of music on this planet. Sure, opera is pretty boring, and country is quite lame, but you either need to be talented or have a nice looking smile to be one of those performers. "Rappers"? They just mumble some nonsense into a microphone, ask someone to add a beat to it and an annoying computer generated in the background.Want an example? 50 Cent. In what way is he talented musically? All he does is moan, wear baggy clothes and hold his balls with his hand . It's sad how many people actually go to rap concerts and buy CD's. IT'S NOT MUSIC!
