why do people hate on halo (1,2&3)

Everyone's obsessed with it which is retarded because it's not that great of a game!!!

Haha, just kidding, it kicks ass. There's no reason to hate on Halo 1, 2, or 3 lol.

Personally, I LOVE halo 1. But I simply cannot play halo 2. I find it's multi-player monotonous, I think they botched Capture the Flag to be honest. 

Example: Why can't You freakin'drive a warthog WITH the flag? is it impossible for him to store it  someplace while he drives?

For goodness sakes why not just clamp it between the hog's tusks :P

because it encourages teamwork. trust me everything is done for a reason, even if you don't realize it or agree w/ it. 

and whoever thinks that the beta is a prettier halo 2 realy hasn't played it.

i realy don't know why ppl hate on the halo games, i mean it's a deep and engaging experience and as far as i know thats what video games are supposed to be, please prove me wrong thoe. 

i think its jealousy, or maybe people hate because everyone else likes it, what do you all think?icecoldkilla78

there is only one way to really look at it,

tons of fanboys and over-opinionated kids on the net like to bash Halo and find small reasons to bash it....

on the other hand, EVERY SINGLE major publication with unbiased professional reviews praise Halo as being one of the best console shooters ever made.

It may be there for a reason. But it is a very poor game mechanic IMO. I have tried sticking with my team mates, doing everything in my power to keep the flag. But 95% it ends in failure. And another 5 minute walk back to the other base, if there aren't enough vehicles. :( 

It's a large step backwards from the days of Halo 1 PC. That game actually fostered teamwork, without forcing it upon the player.

Because the game really isn't as revolutionary as everyone claims it to be.  The only thing they added to the FPS mix was a superb vehicle driving experience.   Duel wielding was done with GoldenEye, large enivorments were done with Unreal, and the first Half Life still has better enemy AI (the marines).  It's fairly standard.

The things that make Halo so fancy are it's spectacular settings, interesting story, great musical score, and a pretty great FPS engine.   Plus, it's fun.

they aint hating! Halo is is great game, awsome shooter... but some people make to much of a bigdeal about it. Halo 3 looks really overrated hope the final game is nothing lyk the beta(Shiny Halo2) DuhQbnSiLo

I think you hit the nail right on the head....People have to be "different"...or ..."hatefull" to others likeings. Its normal. People want to cause problems and be the "oddball" to stand out. I for one dont think they are the "best" games, but I had Halo1 before the Xbox even came out. I drove 4 hours to get Halo2 at its midnight launch...I have beat both coop campaigns and have played lots of splitscreen deathmatch..."dont like online at all"...

Great games that have set HIGH STANDARDS for all FPS's on console and PC. 

i know that there are alot of people that just praise it to death.  now i dont think its the greatest thing since sliced bread but lets be real, no other shooter has had the impact on FPS than halo has.  yes gears is a great game but its not as good as halo was when it first came out. half life, unreal, and others are good games two but what other game has the hype that halo 3 has besides GTA IV???? none, thats because after all the hype (and over hype) its still a great game

Halo 1 was even worse with vehicles because they couldnt be destroyed.  Tanks dominated landscapes and ghosts used to freeze you for a second when it shot you making you pretty much dead once targeted.  Halo 2 made the vehicle aspect much better

I think that most people hate it because its not for their console. and because they are jealous that their console doesn't have an answer for it so they just bash it.

 I dislike Halo series only because I like the more vicious shooters and more tactical versions. Nothing at all wrong with Halo just, I dunno, phaser blasts don't do it as well as a good gory headshot does for me. But it was meant to cater to a much wider audience so the game makes perfect sense as it is.  Don't get me wrong I played through both and loved em, but was more then done once the story ended.  I know alot of peeps in RL that hate on Halo and they all call it a kids game lol, of all things.

i have xbox 360(not another console) and i still dnt think halo is anything special y is everytime someone doesnt like halo they r haters,fanboys of sony or nintendo,noobs,idoits etc...everyone has there own opinons and not everyone is gonna like the same game...halo is not a big deal the world is not gonna end if ppl dnt like it get over it n just keep playin halo while the ppl who dnt like it play whaeva they like i mean come on all i hear is so much bit**n and complainin from halo fans when someone actually doesnt like itBrickz187

Halo is a good console shooter. It's surpassed by at least 20 pc shooters though. I can't imagine anyone with a PC gaming background thinking Halo is all that great. To me the multiplayer, including the Halo 3 beta is soooo incredibly monotonous. After playing the Battlefield series, UT 2004, and countless other pc games online it's hard to see Halo as anything special.Endgame_basic

I have a console background and a PC one as well. When I very 1st saw Halo I thought it would be total s#$t because of the controls but I soon found out it didn't really matter that much and that they had implemented an excellent control scheme.

I played Halo CE so much more on xbox that when I play it on PC (Have Both) I realise i suck compared to the xbox counterpart. The only thing on the PC I can do better is snipe, but everything else I'm better at with a controller. It's what your used to I quess as far as controls go, i.e I would never want to play UT on a console it would just feel totally wrong.

I like halo, only thing i dont like is how everyone is the same model. Just looks a bit silly having like 6 blue masterchiefs running around :P i like how the marines look thoughleonhead
