I'm having a fairly easy time and hoping the higher difficulties are much harder.

I'm not really sure. I rented the game last thursday, and completed it on monday, on the hardest difficulty from the get go. (Path of the Warrior) and I found it fairly easy. Sure, there were a few moments, but that usually came from the Test of Valor mini-games, which they get so easy around chapter 9.
But yeah, I don't know why people gripe about the difficulty, it's just right in my opinion. Offers up a challenge, instead of a easy breeze. This is what developers need to take notes on, the A.I. and difficulty.
Well...because it is hard. Harder than every other game on the market this gen for sure. If you're really finding it easy, then you sure must be a super human gamer. But if you learnt from your mistakes and perfected the skills needed to play it in the earlier chapters then deeming it easy is really not right. Coz that's the whole point anyway. A game is hard till you learn how to play it. I hope you're not equating hard with impossible.kumarab
This is the Internet though. Here everyone is the equivalent to superman. Everything is easy to everyone. No feat impossiable. Well at least to the ones who like to lie to themselves.
It's a challenging game. I don't know how it is on Acolyte but it has put up a good fight so far on Warrior. Now whether or not that fight is fair is very much up for debate, but we'll save that for another time.
With every single game, no matter how hard, I eventually see someone say "It's not that hard." I'd like to know what you're comparing it to or what you're defining as hard. If you're comparing Acolyte or Warrior difficulty in this game to the toughest thing you've ever played or game X on insane difficulty, then I don't know if that's a fair comparison. If you're comparing it to the average level of difficulty in today's games, I'm not sure how you could say it's easier than the average game. There are harder games out there but that doesn't qualify it as easy. Uber gamers might be able to go through it right away with no problem, but for average gamers NGII puts up more of a fight than the average game.

no we block you just dont tell the truth. you know ninja gaiden is a difficult game. if you find ninja gaiden easy (which you dont you are just trying to make us think u are amazing) then how do you get any challenge out of any other games? i have 19ps3 games and 4 360 games (ninja gaiden on both consoles) and they are both by far the hardest games on either system.
i can put money on it that there were plenty of times that you wanted to smash your controller or just got really really angry at the game

I dont know about that part being the hardest game this gen because I thought Call of Duty 4 was really tough on veteran, that took a long time to beat. NG4 is really tough though.

No..
I'm playing on Acoloyte of the Warrior (i think thats it, the highest difficulty that you can start off with), everyone on my friends list who has NG2 said it was really frustrating and they kept dying. I haven't even died once. The only time I got frustrated was because I wasn't paying attention and didn't know where to go on one part, so I kept walking around the entire level seeing if I missed something.
Maybe it's just that Warrior isn't hard and the people on my friends list just suck at games, but I was hoping for more of a challenge.

COD4 wasn't difficult, it was cheap.
There is a difference.

The only thing that made Call of Duty 4 hard is respawning enemies. I didn't even have much trouble with it anyway.[QUOTE="d_ano"][QUOTE="PRKiNG45"]I'm having a fairly easy time and hoping the higher difficulties are much harder.

That's because path of the warrior is normal mode... it goes like this:
Path of the Acolyte - Easy
Path of the Warrior - Normal
Path of the Mentor - Hard
Path of the Master - Very Hard
So if you beat it on Normal, then you should try again on the next two settings of difficulty, but you did not beat it on the hardest setting yet.
Dunno guys. I'm not really buying the people saying this game wasn't hard or that they didn't die. The proof is in the pudding... let us see your gamer tags and I bet you that half of you aren't through the game yet on warrior or b have the continue 100x achievement... which means you got your asses handed to you A LOT.Gesyma
I'm with you on this. For someone on their 1st playthrough on Warrior it is virtually impossible that they didn't die quite a bit. I'm definately an above average gamer and I already have the friggin 100 continue achievement. The boss of Chapter 3 for example, EVERYONE will die to him a few times unless you've read a thorough walkthrough before him and get a little lucky.
The only person to beat it on Master Ninja has commented that he stopped keeping track of continues at level 10 and he already had over 600 continues.

Coming from the guy who got the "die 100 times" achievement before he beat level 8. I'm on 7th playthrough and still haven't gotten it.

Actually, you should rate the games in terms of thier difficulty when compare to the difficulty of games on the market. In that case
Path of the Acolyte - Normal
Path of the Warrior - Hard/Very Hard
Path of the Mentor - Insane, good luck getting to chapter 4
Path of the Master - Ludicrous, maybe .00001% of people will pass this

No offense, but I'm sure rather than continuing when you die you just reload your game as the odds of you not dieng 15 times per playthrough is very very low, unless you're playing through on Acolyte.

I continue when I die. I plan to get the achievement at some point in my life...right now I'm at around 70 something.

May I ask why you'd finish the game 7 times on Acolyte? Do you not like a challenge?
In comparison to games in general, yes it is difficult. But to compared to the previous games, it's a piece of cake.whereismycouch
Not true at all, NG2 is harder than NG or NGB.
And what this fight/argument has basically came down to is someone's skill in a video game. Sure, I haven't played it on the hardest of the hardest, whatever it's called, but I did complete it on the hardest of difficulties from the start, in only a short amount of time, so that says something. If I still had the game, and not taken it back to blockbuster (because I said I rented it) I probably would of ATTEMPTED the other settings. But, I didn't, and this argument is completely stupid. Who really cares, because I didn't find it THAT difficult. Boo-Hoo, cry me a river Jt style.imakillaholic
